  • I was given my MILs old sewing machine. No idea what type it is, but she was given it for her 21st birthday. As it was going, I thought I might as well have it, though I haven't sewn since i was at secondary school, and I wasn't really that great at it then. Hopefully, older and wiser now, I can get my head round it at some stage. My handsewing has improved, so I hope so.

One crown for me too Michelle - Had three lots of Noms too, but like you say, there were loads of brilliant reviews this week, and they only have so much money to give out. I'm at 17 now.

Rufus - glad you had sun. It was OH's day off, and luckily we managed to dodge the rain. It was torrential at one point.

Savvy - I didn't know I had to clean the fan out - mine makes terrible noises sometimes. Do I just blow like Legend did? Well done on DTD

Samba - Well done on your Mxcain redeem, it's so easy, it's ridiculous. :D - I got another yesterday. I'm at £40 now since Jan. :)

Knit - did the pm surprise you when it popped up? It shocks me everytime. :) I have my fingers crossed you get one of those books.

Pennies - well done on getting the problem sorted. It usually takes 3 or 4 weeks. If you save for Am voucher it takes 3 days. :)

Legend = glad you got the laptop sorted. Well done on your listings.

Savvy - what on earth did you list that gets you 56 watchers? The most I've had is 46 ish.

Cornish - I'm sorry about missing some of your reviews on Chow. I managed to catch up so I'm up to date on there now. :) I wish I could get the email alert to work, I feel horrible when I miss some. I think I need to catch up on a few of Claires too. She's not been in again today, has she? I hope everthing is ok.

Had quite a few surveys today when I got back (have been into Birmingham City Centre) but most of them timed me out because comp is running slow. :(

Rufus - I went everywhere I could think of for Navy Files - lots of Royal, and Mid blue, but no Navy to be found anywhere. How stupid - saying you need a navy one - a file is a file. Grrrr.

I took all my vouchers with me - expecting a big spend up, but spent £11 cash in Primark for 2 pairs of pj's for DD2, and a fiver in Accesorise for stocking fillers for DD1, and the same in Claires for DD2. That's it. Didn't use any vouchers at all. I had a good mooch in Boots though - all the kids Christmas stuff was out, and some of the ladies and gents. I felt so Christmassy, but I'm waiting for a £50 evening, so I can earn more points. :D

    How's everyone doing?

  • good afternoon. Not much luck on surveys today, got one small one on mysurvey, screened out of every single one on T again (what have I doneee?!?! I used to get 1/2 a day!) then I got a pound on viva, only one pound to go until I can redeem again so hopefully will get that before it goes to £25.

I've been trying to keep busy today to make the time go quicker, made lasagne and cake for this evening, the house is spotless, just have to wait till tomorrow afternoon now. I've got bruises on my stomach from the woman poking me so hard with the scanner yesterday so I've got a feeling tomorrow will be painful. Going to stop off for a can of coke and a double decker to eat on the way to get the baby moving (if my midwife is reading this I of course meant a nice healthy apple and water ....)

Can't you suggest it on Dy Emma? They will add it then. Well done on sticking with your challenge. :D

    Sorry pablos - crossposted. :)

Stick with it - you get days and sometimes weeks like this. Is there anymore survey sites you could join up to? Do you fancy writing reviews. It would pass lots of time between surveys and earn you extra cash. Good luck for tomorrow. Sorry to hear the midwife bruised you - I hope it's not too sore.

  • Savvy - what on earth are you selling to have so many watchers! I'm intrigued (also want to know incase I have one of whatever it is!!).

Michelle - My son has a mini drumkit and it's not that loud. DH's brother got it for him for Christmas but he did check with us first!

Well, I had my 26 week midwife appointment today and took DS so he could hear the baby's heartbeat too. Heartbeat was perfect, measurements are exactly right so all was going well. Then she said I had glucose in my sample, which is the second time now. She phoned the hospital straight away to make me an appointment for a glucose tolerance test as it might indicate gestational diabetes. This can lead to bigger than average babies, which I certainly don't need any help with as DS was 9lb 3oz anyway! She gave me some info about it just in case and said if I do develop it that I will probably be induced at 38 weeks. That would be about the 13th December so full speed ahead with the Christmas preparations then! :rotfl:

Oh no Nicky - do they still do that glucose drink test? I feel ill just thinking about it, and mine was over 20 years ago. Really pleased everything is going well for you. What did Ds think?

Susan - I'm sorry I forgot to reply to you, because I was replying to posts further up the page, and yours was on the page before. OH no!!! What a palaver. How are you busy from now until Feb hun? Your health is more important. You don't want to be rushed in as an emergency over Christmas do you? Get it sorted, and ask for a cancellation so you can get it over and done with, and you can be on the mend again. :D

Isn't it on the second post? Type 'McCain it's all good' into google. You play silly games once a week and you earn points. When you get so many points you can redeem for vouchers. It takes five minutes a week tops. :D
