  • Can someone please help me with the mccain site? Logged in today to find that my points had suddenly jumped up so thought I'd redeem for a voucher, but every time I confirm the order it tells me that my details aren't filled in in my profile and that I need to complete that before I can redeem.

My profile is up to date though including my mobile number, what am I missing? :o

Took yonks for mine to correctly register & tried so many different things it drove me nuts, just checked it now & the mobile number is there without a zero? Also they send a security code on your mobile number & when you enter your mobile again that needs to be exactly how they have it on the screen & includes international dialling code .

  • Glad the laptop fixed itself Legend, sounds like you hadn't cleaned the fan for a while thank goodness it cleared itself instead of breaking and melting your harddrive that could have been very expensive! Always remember if your laptop/computer is making a buzzingg/humming noise clean those fans out ;)

Sounds like you got a bargain on the sewing machine samba, popped up to Tesco today but completely forgot my list of items to find. I did remember to check the kids toys though, found a disney belle doll in clearance (will go well with beauty and the beast dvd and dress up costume) and found the barbie school set had a half price sticker saying half price but was charged £25, got £25 back so very pleased have another present to put away. Must remember to pop back up in the morning to check other toys and find the sewing machine.

Will have a whizz around the survey sites in a mo xx

  • Thanks, problem seemed to be that one of the address boxes was blank so I had to split the house number and street name in to two separate boxes to get it to work!

Never mind, voucher on it's way now, what did you choose?

Only 115 shillings until I can redeem again...

:j it is one of the easiest ways to get vouchers with the way they give points out. 1st one was for HMV but it came as a Leisure voucher not HMV itself, but all good. 2nd set was Dorothy Perkins & that should be in the next 2 weeks.

Right, off to put the bakes potatoes in.

Savvy don't forget the £12 breadmaker.

Oh yes, keep meaning to do a straw poll - my local Tesco's (& Weston Favell yesterday ) definitely do not mention double the difference on the sign behind CS even with slightly different wording, has anyone managed dtd in a store without it on the sign?

  • Glad you got it sorted Pennies well done on your redeem :D

Thanks Samba, we had a bread machine and I told hubby to get rid of it, he was convinced that it would do all of the work for you despite my pleas so we always ended up with horrible bread with big splodges of flour. And he never cleans up after himself so it's more hassle than it's worth. Sewing machine would be part of my Birthday/Christmas present if I can find one though and I am a tidy person so would just take up space rather than make mess.

My local Tesco has no sign stating their double the difference policy, but it is a standard Tesco policy and if their customer service staff have been trained correctly they do it automatically. I just went to the desk and said I was over charged and they gave me dtd automatically without even mentioning it. HTH

  • Thanks Savvy, I've never had an auto dtd given at CS so I'm gonna have to start insisting. Mind we never usually have any of the fab glitches but every little helps. :D

  • I didn't know how it worked either Samba, this is my first dtd I have ever done (feeling quite proud of myself lol) I suppose it helped I didn't have lots of the same item to dtd on. If they only give you the difference just say isn't your policy to double the difference? and if they get funny just ask them to check with a manager or ring head office.

    Afternoon everyone

We have had lovely weather here today again, a bit windy but sunny most of the day.

Sambamamba - that sewing machine sounds like a good bargain. Mine is a Singer as well but a different one to yours.

My inbox was full of surveys but I got screened out of all of them.
