Hi everyone
Welcome to the newbies xx
I think those sewing machines from Lidl would be good if you cant get the Tesco one. I have heard people talking about them on the other thread and they sound ok to me.
We have been out shopping all day, I am absolutely cream crackered and all I got out of it was two packs of new socks. OH was buying himself new stuff to take on his trip next month and he bought YD a pair of new trainers and she had socks too. I also got another couple of bits off her stationery list, it is going down slowly. One thing we can't find is a navy blue lever arch folder. We saw every other colour you can think of but none navy blue and she has been told this is the colour she needs for one of her subjects. Why they can't just have normal blue I don't know.0 -

Welcome to all the newbies, lovely to have new people joining us
.
I got another £10 voucher from McCains in the post today, so I've now received both the ones I ordered with the mystery bonus points we seemed to get. I was dubious whether I'd get any at all so I'm really pleased to get £20 out of them!
Will catch up properly later, got to get DS in the bath now.Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
Hiya to all the newbies. Woohoo. I love it when we get new people joining in. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful, so if you need to ask anything, fire away - we are all here to help.
Have a read through the first two posts, and that should tell you most of what you need to know - the rest you'll pick up as you go along.
Comp is still playing up. Grrrr that's why I've not been here much today. Tablet is great for other stuff but not much good for surveying.
Nicky - There's something seriously wrong with that site - have another look and see how many points you're on - I was on 935 last week. I've just checked in after seeing your post, and I now have 2080, and can redeem for a £20 Amzon voucher. Woohoo. Fingers crossed I get it.
Legend - sorry to hear about your survey. I bet you'll qualify for a better one instead.Well I hope so.
Rufus - do you need me to have a lookout for one for you? I'm sure I saw one in T's the other day.
Pablos - He/she wants it to be a surprise for you, that's all. I do hope your next scan goes well though, just to put your mind at rest.
Knit - well done on your redeem hun. You're doing really well. Every penny helps.
Skiergirl - well done on the ebay listing. You've got so much on your plate - I'm extra pleased you managed to do it.
Susan - the pink sewing machine - Does it only have one speed? If so, it'll probably be better for DD anyway. She's not 9 yet. How are you doing? I haven't been able to keep up on the other thread, so only pop in now and again. Have you had your Op, or is it soon?
Michelle - thanks for the Sb code earlier. I got it, but comp decided to play silly beggars. Grrr.
I hope you are all well.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Managed to motivate myself to write a book review. I wrote over 2000 words. Think I maybe went too mad on it.
15/100 done now though.0 -

Rufus, there is some of the plastic backing to cover books going cheap in tesco on the misprices thread, they may have one in navy blue you could cover a folder in. Have you tried staples, I had to find some completely random item of stationery the other week and they were the only place that stocked it.
Aww Pablos sorry you didn't get very clear pics, they don't come cheap these days do they? think they were £5 for dd's. On the bright side the £8 will cover all future pictures so you will get new scan pics when you go back at no extra cost, hope you get a good look next scan
Well done on the ebay listing ladies. I have only listed two things, two easy to package things at that lol. However, one item I listed 6 months ago had 2 watchers, one message which wasn't overly polite and no sale in the end. This time I have listed with a reserve, yesterday I checked before bed, had one watcher. checked earlier as same guy from 6 months ago decided to ask me the same question (bit odd lol) and today I have 42 watchers and my reserve has been met, hurray! Isn't it strange how items sell so much better at this time of year?
Well done on the review michelle, need to get back over there and start giving some Es out even if I can't get rating, if I can help the team I will xxx
Hope the comp isn't too bad Elysia, seems to be something in the air. Which reminds me how is your ash covered laptop Legend, hopefully not needing replacement eep!Comping wishlist for 2017
