    Part of the Furniture
It has been a bit of a tiring day here with my old uni friend visiting, and doing house tidying and cleaning, and kid entertaining, so I am tired but in a good way. I haven't written anything yet for DY, or put anything new on chow, but oh well. I've done plenty of reading and rating though.

Elysia - your comment made me chuckle about beating someone to do a product review. Did they actually complain to you? They need to type a bit quicker, as once it is added it is fair game isn't it really. I also can't see the point in worrying about it on DY. Chow you get paid more don't you for a first review, but it is not that important.

    Nowt stranger than folk eh?

  • I'm glad to see you've gone to bed early hon, as you definitely need it. I was so much fresher for it last week, and getting out in the fresh air more too.

Fingers crossed we get a sniff of a competition win between us tomorrow with our short and sweet ones. It would be a nice boost before the weekend.

I think I had best write a few reviews tomorrow. I've a pile of library books that need to go back, once I've done them.
  • Morning everyone, another busy day for me today food shopping this morning and then more visitors this afternoon. Everyone is popping by at the moment to drop presents of for my son for tomorrow.

Elysia they do grow up quickly. Got another year of having him to myself then he will start nursery. :(

Thanks for the viva tip savvy

Just doing a bit of rating this morning

    Morning all

I didnt get much done again yesterday survey or review wise, but I did manage to get some sewing done in the afternoon. I made another new table runner for my shop and finished off another cushion cover. I need to get a pad for the cushion though but the runner is on the shop already (photos on my blog.)

OH is saying now that he doesn't want a phone now for Christmas, he wants some aftershave and other bits. I dont know if it is cheap enough to buy on Amazon or whether to stop getting the vouchers now (I have enough for my half of YD's Blackberry and enough for Son's sat nav) and go for the cheque instead. I think I need to do some investigating first. I still have £30 worth of vouchers due from T and £20 worth from Ipsos whenever they both decide to dish them out. I had one for just over £10 yesterday from TCB.

I will try hard toget another review on today but its so difficult while OH is home as he wants to be on the laptop all the time when we are sitting in the front room and my computer in the other room keeps going wrong.
  • morning all, thank you for the very warm welcome xx
well with my amazon vouchers i got, a mr potatoe head, daisy sunflower game, playdough set/game and one of those space hoppers..for a whole £1.67 in the end..filtered out clearance toys then free supersaver delivery, and i knew the boys whould love these things.
I also found on ebay huggle buddy type toys my eldest two have been asking for one for ages..huggle buddys are £20 each and £10 for delivery and i wanted to get all 3 one..that whould be £90! ebay had them so simular with good reviews for £6.75 each and free delivery..so all 3 for under £20..so im hoping my 24 items listed on ebay will pay for those. Defintaly trying for the money neutral christmas.
Thanks for the advice about boots already being on 3 for 2, i shall go and have a look.
Todays plans include making a belly cast..im 4 days overdue with my 3rd son eek, and general tidying and the boys want to make playdough and choc chrispie cakes . have a great day all xx

Good morning all, hope everyone has a good day. Weather wise it's a miserable one here :(
Everyone seems like they're doing great on the money making/saving :) I'm going to be as money neutral as possible for this xmas but think I started a bit late, now I kinda know what I'm doing though hopefully next xmas will be. I am quite chuffed with myself this week though as I decided to start a budget of £70 a week for shopping and I actually did it and have just over £10 left in my purse :)

Can I also ask has anyone used any of the photo sites where you get xx free prints? Are they any good? And is there p+p charges?

Mummy2threeboys You've been getting some great bargains :) And I hope your little man doesn't keep you waiting too much longer.

Hi Nicnax - I have been using the photo sites lately. It was costing me too much to buy ink for my printer and do them myself. I got some printed out a month or so ago from one of them, cant think for a minute which on it was but the offer was for 100 prints for new customer. I had to pay something like £2.50 in postage (it was photobox, its just come to me lol). The prints are really good quality and they came within a few days. I did a photo album for my brother's 60th birthday.

I have done some more over the last few weeks, I have got another 100 prints from Artscow, they cost about £3.50 for pp, I think, might have been less than that, they charge you in dollars and you pay by paypal. They came within a few days. Then I got 50 from Bonus print (their software on the site is terrible though and took hours to sort out my photos), I have yet to receive them, I paid about £2 or less in pp. Then I ordered another 60 from Trupint, they cost about £1.50 for pp, they came yesterday which again was only a few days and are nice prints too. All of them let me pay by Paypal except for Bonusprint which was Visa.
