Hi all and welcome to any newbies.
Had a lovely day off on a community trip to Woodlands adventure park near dartmouth, it cost me £30 for the coach there and back and getting in. If I had gone on my own I would have had to pay £44.85 just for the tickets!! The children loved it and we have promised to go again as once in everything is free. Tempted to go near there camping as if you pay full price for tickets you can go in for free for the next 6 days.
Off this morning to do some mystery shopping at a vets!! Bit nervous as I'm rubbish at fibbing and I have to go in with a scenario rather than just buy something. Having to take the twins in with me so hoping they don't give me away!! lol
Hope you all have a good day0 -
Morning everyone.
Back to reality. Just posted a new review on DY which was one i wrote in word weeks ago really, but I am only classing it as done when they are loaded on. So I am at 33/45.
I am glad to be back at it though. Must be a strange one. I missed chatting to everyone.
Good luck everyone for crown day.0 -
So how did everyone do? Two shiny new hats for me. Woohoo. That's two a week for the past three weeks. I didn't expect any, as I only wrote two. I'm not confident doing book reviews either as I'm not too sure about where to draw the line and usually give too much away.
Two of my product suggestions went on, so I'll be writing them today. That'll bring me up to 23/25 and I still have one waiting to go on. I'm half way to another cheque already. Thanks so much everyone for spurring me on.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Thank you Nicnax - No need to lurk anymore, join right in.
Have a read through the first few posts and see what you can do. Every penny you earn from now, is a penny less you'll have to find at ChristmasI :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hi Elysia, Thanks, I've already joined some of the survey sites (I save £10 a week for xmas, since Jan but it would be nice to get some extra pennies) I've been keeping an eye on some of the shopping threads too where people list bargains. My aim from now on is to try and budget and get out of some of the debt so every little bit helps especially towards birthdays and xmas (as all are pretty close to xmas in my house)0 -
well we got our dog yesterday but...and this could only happen to us...it is not the dog we expected. the boys held the dog in the car then when we got home we realised that she was actually a he:eek: the breeder has lost track of how many females he had and now has no more left. so bella is now max! he is so cute and is now fast asleep.
nicky your blackberry and apple loaf sounds delicious - I would love the recipe is possible
elysia well done on your crowns:T

Nicnax - You're in the right place. You'll find some of us are not only buying christmas presents etc, but most are trying to pay off mortgages and debt too. Every penny you earn helps.
Have you tried writing reviews? You can earn £50 a month on DoU if you work at it. Michelle has done it several times now - then you paste them across to another site and can get the same again for the same reviews. It does take some going though. I doubt you'd be able to keep it up forever, but it gives you boost now and then.
Bunbun - at least you won't have trouble with seasons etc. That's one thing to be thankful for, but how can you mix up a girl and a boy? Welcome to Max

I just came back to post - Boots have three for two on toys again (the Christmas catalogue must be out soon then) They have some great stuff (I want the kiddie kindle - it's so sweet) and three for two plus boots points is a bargain - especially as the best stuff sells out quickly. No shiny hats for me.
I'd not written much this week to be honest, but I hoped my internet explorer one might be ok after it won on chow. Never mind.
Food shop done, amazon sale posted, and I have also done another load of washing. Weather is not great though to hang it out.
DY balance is at about £35, so I am not sure I will actually get to £50 this month again, but I am going to have a good try.
Meant to say yesterday, we had an amazon delivery too while away. It was in a bubble wrap jiffy bag, and the postman had lobbed it over our back gate where it had sat in rain etc. Luckily it was only a cheap internet cable and not a ds or I would be rather cross.0 -
elysia when we looked back we thought how on earth did it happen! I did say to OH before we went in "would you remember which dog is ours" and he said oh yes - ha ha!!
michelle glad your amazon delivery was OK. we had been away for 2 weeks before our delivery so you would have thought the postie would have noticed.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
