Skiergirl - I have also done your three opinions. My name is different on there, you'll recognise me as I have a female cartoon character picture :)

Elysia - Well done, that was good timing!

  • Spent a bit of time yesterday on DY and chow - posted a review of my all in one printer on both. Did a bit of return rating and general rating. Am still working to catch up on all the reviews I missed when on hols, so I will get to you eventually if I haven't yet!

Am off to TL now to do some of those comments :)

Good evening all  Hope we all had a lovely weekend.

Had an exhausting time at the bbq, didn't get to sit for two minutes chasing after dd so we are all a bit exhausted. Hubby thought the trunki's were brilliant (phew!) and pleased with the price £8 each I think especially as I almost bought one for £22 in the Next sale a few weeks back.

Thanks for the thanks elysia lol, so close to that elusive payout! Hope you have been lucky and had a few wins on there too. And I am making some headway on my adopted ebay challenge circa £15 in the pot and a few more listed today.

Thanks for the S&S reminder, all done. The weeks are flying past now so it's tricky to remember, can't believe how quickly that Christmas is creeping up.

Sounds like you had a lovely day Elysia, what are you going to do witha ll those blackberries (careful Nicky might have them off you if you leave them in the freezer ;) ) Did you get your pics sorted for the panel thing in the end, I'm not sure you can edit the date they were taken but they might not notice, you could say the date on your camera was set wrong. Well done on your NV payout too.

Legend, did you sort out your next vouchers, very cheeky of the Next 'employee' to message you. Hope it all works out.

I will do your loonys tomorrow skiergirl hun, I am up against the clock tonight with it all.

Elysia: Do you make jam? I am hoping to make jams and chutneys etc for christmas presents this year. Thats what the money I am making is going to fund. I have spied some jars I like on a website. I know you can use recycled jars and stuff but as I have earned the money want to splash out on some new ones :D. Been googling ti the last couple of days cause figure its time to start making some and getting a little bit daunted! Could do with some tips if you didnt mind :D.

Got some ebay ending any minute now so fingers crossed for a few pounds. I am abit skint this month so added the last lot that ended to my current account to spend this month but this is going straight off my debts! every penny counts

LOL _ giggles I've made another batch of jam today. You use 800g of fruit, and a bag of sugar - some fruit needs Jam sugar, and some needs preserving sugar so you need to read the back of the packet and choose the right one. It's dead easy. If you're using small jars it will make 4.

I also cheat and use these from Lakeland - you simply add the contents to a pan, and add a 1kg bag of normal granulated sugar. These will make about 4 small ones too. http://www.lakeland.co.uk/13801/Prepared-Medium-Cut-Seville-Oranges If you look at the bottom of the page they have ones in Lemon, and Strawberry too. I used them last Christmas and everyone loved them. Add a big slug of whisky to the marmalade and it tastes even nicer ( and I hate whisky :) )

Savvy - I've hidden them at the bottom of the freezer, so she can't find them if she comes knocking. ;):D. You know what those chest freezers are like, I'll probably find them again this time next year!!!

I only played a couple of games on WH - I was trying to dish up our tea at the time, that's why I missed the big one. By the time I finished my meal, I'd been logged out, so I didn't bother again. I have 108 gold so a fair way to go. :)

oh thats great Elysia thank you for much for that tip :D. Maybe I will give it a go with of them first, and use my dad and as a test monkey haha the website I have been looking is http://www.jamjarshop.com/index.asp just been looking at a Maslin Pan - Stainless Steel - Kilner, im sure everyone will tell me its not necessary but I have £150 to play with so think I might treat myself to the real pan to make jam :D. They have some recipes on the website too so think I might give them a try when Im abit more confident. Im think to give everyone three jars each (mixture of jam, marmalade, chutney etc whatever I end up making!) and possible some home baked fudge/biscuits etc too. Do you have any particular favourite recipes?

Make just over £10 on the ebays. So not bad :D. Just want them to all pay now so I can get it all posted in one go tomorrow but Im sure they wont!

I've just seen a new Maslin pan on ebay for about £25 they are £50 on Lakeland. I've just been looking at the Tefal Jam maker but it's £110 - think I'll stick to the old fashioned way. You can get kilner jars in poundland nearer Christmas. Don't spend so much money if you don't have to. ;)

My lovely next door neighbour gave me my maslin pan. It was a wedding present when they got married 59 years ago. It's made by Swan - things were made to last then. :) It's still good as new.

ETA: while you're looking at Jam stuff - don't bother getting the preserving thermometer from Lakeland. It's rubbish. I've written this review: http://members.dooyoo.co.uk/household-products/kitchen-craft-preserving-thermometer/1580980/
