Hey ladies, well I was off to TGIS tonight to meet with some old friends. OMG we laughed so much! The waiter thought we were crazy haha but he was fab and indulged us! We even got balloon animals.
I have just posted my first guide on shopping so hoping that will get published. Going to try and write one a day I think. I also volunteered for my details to be sent to a paper and I could be contacted to take about quirky ways to money make (point is I will talk about shopping) and if I do and it gets published I will get a £30 thank you from shopping. I do think they are fab and a great way to earn money so no problem for me talking to someone about it hahaha0 -

I had a really bad night last night as i had an allergic reaction to something and had swollen tingly lips, a swollen throat, and bad leg cramps for a couple of hours. I think it was some crisps i ate. Other than that i ate nothing unusual. Not nice, and a bit scary to be honest. I am just about pulled round today.
I'm cheered up as i had a YG 50p survey taking me to £36.50, and i also got a DY crown this morning. The first one i have had in weeks. Very welcome as my concentration has been more towards ciao in the past couple of weeks.
I'll see how well i can motivate myself in the rest of the day. Might be a case of do what i can till i collapse.
Apologies if I sound like an old fuss pot, but I would suggest getting into your doctors asap, you had a really luckly escape, even swollen tingly lips are a major factor, (that would be an epi pen episode), with the swollen throat, all I say is you must of had a guardian angel.
If that happens again, even the tingly lips, you need to dial 999 asap, and explain you think its an ANAPHYLAXIS ATTACK. you would most proberly end up with a paramedic first then an ambulance.
As for what you eat, I would get the packet, so you have the list of ingredients ready for the GP.
Mine triggered off from a Tikka Masalla, I just thought I was breathless (asthmatic) and gone from inside a shopping centre into the cold air, it was only as dad was driving me home (12 miles) that I had swelling and redness in face, and couldn't breath, we went to our local NHS walk in centre, I will never forget, I'm apologising for queue jumping, and it didn't sink in till the next day.
I've just copied this from Medicare - A guide to Anaphylaxis.

2 Call ambulance. Telephone 999
3 Contact parent/carer
Not every symptom appears, - but thats a general list.
The epi -pen has a small dose of adreline in, which helps reverse the symptoms, and buys time for the ambulance crew, they have stronger doses.
For myself, I've had 6 attacks, 3 had been major, 3 minor but borderline, and a few near misses, as I have no idea what I'm allergic to.
I've had a series of blood tests done, but they came up clear, so its trial and error, everyone in the house has been shown how to use the epipen.
I have been prescribed an allergy tablet that take daily, and have a supply of piritron if an attack is starting, generally this stops it.
Apologies for the mother hen act, but I always think its better to be on the cautious side

A quick update re court, letter off solicitors now know which court going to, got 2 in town, 10 minute drive apart!!
Cafcass haven't filed their report (upto teatime), but I've asked the secetary to ask the solicitor to get it emailed from court and to send me a copy, but if that doesn't come off - (very much doubt!!), got to meet him 30mins before the court hearing.... hope I can speed read xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mum2one thanks for posting the advice for Michelle. I knew tingling lips was a symptom, but I didn't realise that it was that bad. DD1 has tingling lips whenever I wore my Armani Idole perfume - nothing else, so I don't wear it anymore. That info is great for all of us to know, not just Michelle.
You never know do you? I was reading about a woman who got stung by a wasp, in a magazine last week, that sent her body into overdrive, and now she's allergic to over 1000 things.
Michelle how are you hun anyway? I hope you are feeling better after your ordeal.
Twinklestar - i hope you feel a little bit brighter too.
Giggles - glad you had a fab time. it sounds like you had a ball. Well done on your first guide. The rewards are good, but they are not as easy as a review for them, are they? I may look through the list again and see if I can do any more today.
Mum2one - good luck when you go to court. I'll be thinking of you.
Have a good money making day everyone.

Hi restricted, long time no see, sorry to hear about all your troubles. With the cashback sites, I have used Quidco before to get my OH's car insurance via Morethan but the cashback took a long time to come through, nearly a year and I had to fight for it as it didnt track.
I use Topcashback for other things as I find they track better on there but you must remember to clear your cookies before you buy the insurance.
Would be best to have a look and see what companies are offering cashback on the site, make a list of them and how much you can get, then do some quotes with one or two of the compare sites and see if the ones offering cashback come high up or not. Doesnt always pay to go throught he cashback sites these days as you might get a cheaper quote with someone else.
My OH was with Morethan and he was paying £50 a month, new insurance was due this month and they wrote and said it had gone up to £65 a month so he did some quotes online and found Tesco would insure him for £45 a month which is less than he has been paying and when he put in his clubcard details they took it down another £5 a month.0 -
Thanks for all that information mum2one. I definitely need to take this seriously then.
So am i right in thinking it must have been the crisps? Prior to that i had eaten about 6 hours earlier, which was beef, mash, carrots and broccoli. Nothing offensive there and i think i would have reacted sooner. I had also eaten prawns about 12 hours earlier.
I've fished the pack out of the bin.
Someone else showed me a link about people who suffer from other allergies can suddenly have food allergies too especially to raw foods. I will get myself a Dr appointment as when i think about it, i have developed hives before without me knowing what had caused it. This was a couple of years ago though, so not sure if it is linked. I have fairly bad hayfever and have done for about 15 years. I can feel the symptoms of that, but i don't think i am having any other symptoms.
I definitely won't be eating that type of crisp again.
Scary stuff. I'll get myself a Drs appointment.0
