Best to get it checked out Michelle, I had hives once but it was a reaction to a drug they gave me in hospital when I was coming round from anaesthetic.

Sparkley - I have got two cushions finished off, just need to do the photos, was going to do them today but had a bit of a disaster in doors so been trying to sort that out lol (see other thread). I went through all the other stuff I have already made and picked out a few bits to put with it when I get a chance, the rest I have told youngest daughter she can have and have a stall at her youth group to raise some money for her trip.

Managed to get a review done on DY this morning so very pleased with myself (while waiting for grout to dry lol). I havent had any new surveys on OP for a few days now even when you lot saying there are some on there, must be they dont put them on for everyone.

Chel - I'm glad DD is on the mend. You beat me about the free ebay listing weekend - I just came on here to post it. :)

Milla - so sorry things are awful at the moment. How's your sister today?

For car insurance - the best thing to do is go with the cheapest quote (don't forget about the excess - making the excess higher will bring down the cost now, but what happens if you need to claim? You'll have to find all that money? Weigh up what's best.

Just because a company may offer cashback bringing the price down, like Rufus said, it doesn't always track, or may not pay out at all - if it does, class it as a bonus.

Try and look at companies that allow you to pay monthly, if you can't pay it all at once, some charge extra, but some don't.

Don't just go with the first quote - go on go compare, via quidco to get the £1.50 cashback or whatever it is today, (every little helps), and all the others. Compare the market, money supermarket etc. Get all the pennies you can.

Make a list of cheap ones, then go and check online direct with that company and see if the price drops further.

Sometimes, companies see you've been shopping around, and will undercut the prices that they quoted too, so if you do decide to go with one particular company, leave if for an hour or two, and see if they email or phone you with a better offer.

OH had a good quote from SAGA (he's an oldie) but Post office beat it probably only by a tenner or so, so he went with them. Then SAGA came back and undercut their own quote by £100. We'd only bought off the PO ten minutes earlier. So please don't rush into anything. :)

I'll be right there Claire. ETA: done :)

Brain is addled as i've just done the last three guides for shop so I don't know how much sense I'll make ;).

It's taken two hours, so I hope they're OK. £50 due (if they are) brilliant result - even if I do say so myself. :D

Well done Claire - don't you fancy writing some Shop guides? £10 each!!!

For anyone with hayfever I've just seen this on the grabbit. Was £39.99 in LLoyds chemist, reduced to half price online but only £4 instore. For that price, it's worth a try to see if it helps you.
