hi michelle. how are you doing on ciao? i'm up to 3 pound 50 odd, but it's going up slowly. someone who is on both doou and ciao, gave me some wonderful tips on how to do better on ciao. i'll paste them here in a minute. i'm sure they won't mind.

rufus/clairey - do you paste your reviews over to ciao? there is a promotion on atm, where you get 15p extra per review on top of what you normally get. it could be worth trying it if you don't.

i'll just go and find the message and paste it here. bbs

    tips for posting on ciao.

    1. as it's paid per rate here generally (though there is a 15p incentive right now it's true) you probably want to post up a few reviews at a time only and space them out if you want to build up a readership

    2. the best money here comes via the premium fund, which can be quite lucrative, (ie better paid than dooyoo) but you need to build up rates and just do a few at a time to access that - it's all on the community pages - you should be able to format already and once you are no longer a white dot you can add photos too

    3. the premium fund which is given out at the end of a month - so a bonus for april's reviews was given out today. i put some stuff over from dooyoo but most months I get £20 or so for 4/5 reviews, one time I got £43, I know people who regularly get £60 or more.

There's a catch as you have probably worked out.....everyone is desperate to get Exceptional's as that's what gets you in the premium fund.

You then have to rate a lot much like on dooyoo but it's hard to get rates.

If you are going to write on dooyoo it's worth sticking at a bit - you could put across any crowned reviews etc.

You can work out how well reviews did on any given day by clicking on review archive on the members area - the top review gets £10 and it goes down ....

So, in brief - ciao is weird, it's very political but it can be worth sticking at if you want to maximise your earnings on what you write

We have a forum where we chat about ciao being a bit pants here if you are interested http://ciaochatter.forummotion.com/

Having decided to join you lovely people, I tried to join Valued Opinions. Turns out I was already registered a long time ago (3yrs ago looking at the address they had on file). Is it normal that there is nothing avaliable? I seem to remember this being the reason I never did anything on it before too. I tried updating my profile but it doesn't seem to be saving anything I do, so it only ever says it's 38% complete no matter how many times I do it. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

hiya littlemiss - you should be on 100 percent if you've filled it all out correctly. it's late, try and give it another go tomorrow.

there are not many surveys on valued coming through at the moment, not for me anyway. the only way to make a decent amount of money, regularly, is to sign up to as many survey sites as you can, that way, if there are only a few going around, you get still get some, and if you ever get too many you can't cope, you can always delete a few.

have a read through the first few posts, there are lots of sites listed on there, that we are all having success with. there are some sites, that arn't on there, as they don't give surveys very often. if you would like the list, let me know and i'll post it.

have you tried writing reviews? there is dooyou and ciao, where you get paid too. if all else fails there are the bingo sites, you play for free and earn vouchers. i heard of a new one today. 5 bingo - sign up with your card details, but only play the 2pm game, the tickets are free. you earn high street vouchers if you win.

ebay is good if you want to earn money fast.

if you need any more help, don't be afraid to ask, ok?

what happened with eurovison/ we were fourth, and now we're about tenth. grrr

esmer - glad you're holiday went well hun. we missed you. good luck with all the ironing tomorrow. i'll be thinking of you. lol. other half has just done my mountain of ironing - i trained him well. lmao.

    night night everyone.

Hi everyone, Sorry I have been mia recently I have been keeping up with surveys etc, studying, dd keeping me on my toes, life in general just about, I feel like my feet haven't touched the ground for a couple of weeks. Will make the extra time to come in here as it's great for motivation.

Well done everyone on your moneymaking :)

Have had some more loony vouchers arrive this week, and a £25 Asda gift voucher :) Also I don't know if anyone can help, with paper Next gift vouchers - can they be exchanged instore for a giftcard to buy clothes online? I want to use my shopnscan points for these (have £40 of vouchers to claim) if I can to buy dd's new clothes but instore have such a bad selection compared to online.

I need to read back through the thread to see what everyone has been up to, hope your all ok and well xx

    Morning all

My computer has gone wrong again, wouldnt start at all this morning even with the windows disk in so have had to reformat and start all over again. Even then think I need a new hard drive for it. Will have to get OH to open it up and have a look tomorrow to make sure there is room for one. Hence I am on the laptop for a bit, wont be too bad today but cant use it when OH is in as he is always on it.
