bunbun : thinking of you too.

I have got a telephone itnerview on tuesday morning for the position the recruitment agency sent my cv for yesterday. A litle intimidated as he keeps saying how coporate and formal they are and in his words 'I noticed you had chapped lips so if you do get an interview just try and get some cream for that' haha if only it was that easy! I explained how actually I am under a specialist and its not just chapped lips and currently I have been on antibiotics for 9 months, so its not something I can fix overnight unfortuantly. He didnt say it in a nasty way just a 'trrying to help you' kind of way but still... Im a little shocked he would comment on my personal appearance like that! Would someone really not give you a job (which is completely on the phone so no customer face to face interaction) because you have chapped lips? Its worried me a little as my skin is very tempermental on my face (ezcema plus the perioral dermatitus) and although it is improving I guess to people that have not seen me at my worse it actually looks quite bad even on a good day! Oh well if they dont want me because of my skin then their loss! Although I am getting abit ahead of myself.... concentrate on the phone interview first haha

Giggles - try not to stress too much, you might get a flare up, and you don't want that! If they can't see the lovely woman behind the excema, and see your special qualities then you're right - you don't need them. There's always better jobs. It just may take a while longer. ;)

Bunbun - waiting here too. We hope everyone is OK.

Rufus - I'm still waiting for a paper voucher off T. They recently processed three lots, but I only received two. It's over a week later than the others yet it was processed at the same time. I doubt they'll do anything though. :(

Chel - sending you and DD big hugs. Oh I do hope she gets better soon. The party is on Saturday isn't it? or am I getting muddled again (easily done with me. LOL)

Skiergirl - How are you hun? Any news about your knee op? BTW there's a couple on OP atm.

    Hi all

rufus - snap , i just redeemed mysurv too for a amazon£5, DS wanted some straightners...lol, noticed this week hes using mine...not that i mind but he puts that many hair products on his hair that I thought I had the dreaded nits but it was all his things , drying on the straightners and going like flakes into my hair.

Giggles - i agree with elysia, dont stress too much....and I think recruitment guy was a bit cheeky and a bit personal, chapped lips....we all have out faults - didnt think chapped lips would be a big thing...... JUst remember when you do your interview, they cant see you so just relax and say what you want. Pretend its roleplay, thats what I do...:rotfl:

Sparkley - hope your DD sorted soon, its awful when the kids are ill, you cant do anything for them, you feel so helpless

Hi Legend - :D thought we`d lost you to Mr T...

sorry not been on earlier, I only got to speak to the consultant at 5 o'clock then had to take ds2 to tennis. well after all my panicking and nervousness it turns out that neither OH or I have the condition. so the plot thickens and we still have no idea where it comes from. from what I understand one of us has the gene but not the condition. it is all very confusing! we are going to see the consultant to discuss it all. thank you everyone for your kind thoughts!

sparkly hope your dd is feeling better

giggles good luck for your interview

    Skiergirl - consider it done.

Bunbun - at least you both don't have it too. It still means testing the rest of the family though doesn't it? I'm friends with a mum at DD's school, her family has a heritary heart condition, and has been going heart and gene testing, so I know what you're going through (if only a little bit).

Hiya Susan. How are you hun?

Sorry for countdown - I just won another gold thingy, so it's 4 to go. LOL

Skiergirl - I've been and done your ops and polls. A few of them have closed - when you write a new one, try and remember to click 6 months instead one. ;)
