I am around Elysia been busy this week. spent yesterday afternoon at the hospital with ds2 for a check up. we went out in the evening to a drama production at ds2 school, got home at 9.30 and the phone rang, it was the hospital:eek: the blood test they had taken earlier had shown a lack of calcium and could we take him now for another blood test:eek: eventually they said they would contact the consultant and ring back today. the consultant rang to say ds has a calcium deficiency and can we go and see him next week to discuss treatment. the hospital is an hour away:eek: then ds said he felt sick and ended up in my bed...boy does he fidget. oops sorry all that to say I am shattered today.

I didn't order the candy grabber in the end - IWOOT took forever to send me a new code and kept asking for the old one which I have to admit I haven't sent yet - I must do that. I have to say their customer service is awful

kec glad you have got some of the money OH is owed, hopefully the others will pay soon

my ds1 had excema when he was a baby and I was advised not to use E45 as it contains lanolin. he had cream on prescription. luckily he has more or less outgrown it.

    restricted congratulations

susie well done for setting up the website - it will be really useful for parents

Whilst I'm glad you're ok (if a bit tired) I'm so sorry DS is poorly - Hopefully some medication will get him fit as a fiddle soon. DD2 was born with too much calcium and it gave her side effects until she grew, and then she literally grew out of it. Hopefully Ds will too. Sending you all big hugs. xxx

Hi everyone, I'm back what did I miss ;)

Elysia - I bought Aussie Miracle Moist shampoo for damaged, dry and brittle hair, I was using Kerastase shampoo before but it is soo expensive I was using it sparingly, but the Aussie one i got in the lloyds pharmacy 3for1 making it 99p a bottle so can use plenty. My hair is quite pourous and naturaly wavy and fine, been highlighted for many years and I use straighteners 3-4 times a week, not good! Usually I have to be careful with what I use but my hair is silky smooth today and I wore it down when I went out for the first time in months, really cheered me up :D

Oh eck bunbun, sorry to hear about DS calcium deficiency! Hope he gets better soon x

DD had excema when she was very young, the doctor said not to use E45 or moisturiser as it was designed for dry cracked skin and excema had to be treated with prescription cream. My brother gets really badly cracked dry skin on his knuckles, so bad it bleeds, he uses E45 regularly and it completely clears it up.

Well done giggles and twinkle one your vouchers/redeems, it feels great when you get the reward for the hard work put in isn't it? I just managed to redeem on loony at last, hooray!

Was lovely to see my sister today, she wanted us to go shopping sometime so we are going to arrange it. My mum was a little off with me, somehow we got onto the subject of Mother's Day and not getting her a card or present or anything, I said I had already sorted it and she went really off with me saying how she doesn't celebrate it and she didn't want anythng, I said it was too late and she said fine, don't bother with my Birthday then! I'm going to assume she was in a bad mood or something else had irritated her before I arrived, I understand what she is saying but it did hurt my feelings the way she went on :(

thanks elysia. I think it will be a long term problem. he has an underactive thyroid and growth hormone deficiency which they are treating but weren't sure of the cause so the calcium could be it. i never thought I would be able to give my child daily injections...

Postie made me a happy girly today: £10 Tesco from VO, £5 cheque from synov8 and a DVD to watch from iap. Also missed a parcel (haven't got a clue what it might be which is always quite exciting) and credit card bill (not so exciting!!!

What a lovely postie you have. Mine hasn't brought me any tests since last saturday when I had a box of shreddies for DD2 to eat. :) I'm expecting that DVD soon too.

I had a £5 paypal payment of Brain Juicer for a two minute survey yesterday, and I had to do the follow up today and will get £10 for that one. :D

    Evening Ladies

Congrats on the new baby....... restricted, photos please :)

Susie, hope the blog works out and you can get a site together. Shame the other one is being dropped.

Sorry for all you lot with skin issues, i seem to be getting allergic reactions on my face. So started using Oilulatum that DD got for her skin, seems to be helping.

Hello to EVERYONE, you are all doing great on the moneymaking........ Thanks to Elysia for keeping us going. :T

No money making for me, dd is going to Daddys tomorrow, not back til Sunday. Im going to clean out her room, and get the carpet cleaned if I get time, as I am heading to IKEA first thing to get her new furniture.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Some thoughts...... I have an Old car, and its been great, I bought it a year and half ago and its due for an MOT. My company are offering all staff a new car, I get Tax and NI benefits and its cheaper getting it from there than outwith...... I cant get credit because of my ex making me BR so I have been thinking this over. I can get a brand new Citreon C1 for 210 a month, and thats everything, insurance, tax, tyres, service, MOT, break down recovery. All I have to pay is petrol............... What do you all think???

Elysia - I never do the brain juicer surveys, I always have problems with them and had two yesterday that I closed down, maybe I should have carried on! Well done, that is a fab reward for a two minute survey.

Esmer - Hope you get lots done whilst dd is at daddy's and I hope she enjoys time there with him. With the car thing, I think I would have to consider how secure my job was first, if very secure and it would cost you much less for a more reliable car I think personally I would go for it.
