  • Thanks for the advice re insurance going up in March! I actually felt like crying today at my cheapest quote but I guess the fact is you have to have insurance so I best suck it up and just get over it. I hate being so MSE and doing all this money saving for it all to be taken back off me.

On the bright side, I have done a fair whack of the Christmas shopping already and sorted majority of Birthday presents and cards - I am becoming a master present hider :rotfl:

And Boots decided that after all the hassle I have had with regards to orders going missing I am being given £30 comp so that is going straight to the boots january sale fund :D

I had a dream last night I was a master at baking and had my own cupcake and cake business :rotfl:Esmer - I am looking at you on this one... putting ideas into my head, I can't even cook!! Must have been thinking of your yummy cupcakes before I fell asleep.

I hope Susan42 is ok, get better soon hun we are all thinking of you, I hope nothing bad has happened to legendmum too xx

Well done on all your redeems and good luck all oldies and youngies on the car insurance front, they know how to kick us where it hurts dont they.

Skiergirl - we put the savings from the shopping in a tin or account as part of the challenge - upto a maximum of £5. It's up to you though, if you can afford it, put in as much as you want.

    Savvy - £30 compensation AND a free S&G totebag - Lucky you. :)

I'm coming in here hanging my head in shame - Ahhh. Naughty me has just gone and bought myself a kindle. I've wanted one for ages, and redeeming on polly today was £40, and I had £25 Amazon of Philly cheese today too, I also had my quidco pay £85 this week so I treated myself. ;)

All this talk of car insurance, had a letter today to say my insurance expires on Sunday, letter took two weeks to get here, thanks for the short notice!!! My fault for not checking but how annoying!

I went with Tesco, they were the cheapest for me plus clubcard points :)

Good for you, you deserve a treat :) I've asked DH for a Kindle for my birthday (not till June!) and I can't wait, it looks so good!

Hope Susan is okay, sending (((((Hugs))))) in case she reads this.

Half term next week, woohoo. I feel like my holiday has already started as we've got a teacher training day tomorrow. I know I'm still working obviously, but it's not the same as 'proper' work with the kids in ;)

I managed about 20p on 1poll today, I'm on just over £12, not sure I'll be able to redeem in time for this Christmas! Going to work through Looney in a bit.

Ebay NON payer I looked at his feedback, and he bought the same item off of someone else, so he had NO intention of paying. I think this is out of order. Am I not allowed to leave negative feedback on non payers????? Sorry Im absolutely raging, he clearly had NO intention of paying for it!!!

evening everyone, hope you have all had a good day. I have had a good day for surveys today. With regards to 1 poll, I find that i go into it a bout 6 times a day and there are often new polls in there wating. If you dont do them when you see them they can disappear though even if it says the expiry date is a few days away. I cashed out at christmas and I am on £32 again already!

If you are reading susan hope you are ok - sending virtual hugs :grouphug:

So sorry you have had trouble on Ebay Esmer, hope you can resolve it that is well out of order.

    see you all 2morrow x

Skiergirl - just to say found you on loon, I am tan on there x

Sorry to hear about your car problems ddraig, bloomin cars they are a pain aren't they! Hope it wont be too expensive to fix.
  • Hi All, cant believe I havent been on this thread for 5 days,,work work work and kids lol
I have been ebaying and got some stuff finishing this weekend and more to go on,,hubby is off from wed next week and following week, we are decorating our bedroom, finishing the hall and de cluttering the summerhouse,,we have LOADS of stuff up there,,cant move around in it!! So I will be ebaying alot of camping/toys/stuff!! The main camping stuff will be added up and used to help pay off a credit card. There is sooo much up there I will hopefully manage to get a bit saved in paypal too.

I lifted my tin I have been saving my loose change OH MY it was so heavy!! Its a large biscuit tin so exciting that will be when I open it in Jan!
I have paid £20 into my building society finally!! Its for my savings from my shopping, I have been using local shops and lidls so not many reciept savings. Its amazing how much I have reduced my shopping bill each month, so far gone from £500 odd to £375 for 5 of us,,mostly by mealplaning and sticking to my list & I get milk in local shop as its cheaper than supermarket,,,bread from our local bakers is scrummy & we have a new greengrocers just opened,,it stops me popping in for milk etc and impulse buying!
I am not finding time to do the surveys, I can do a few a week but I guess it all helps ;-)

Hugs to all who need one and a nice cuppa, actually I could do with both!! Am still suffering with sinus/rhinisitus(?sp) - not the best to be allergic to dust when I am cleaning 12 houses a week!!!
Have a great weekend all ;-)
Life happens when you are busy making other plans ;)
