A quickie from me
I've just added a link to the craft tutorial thread and thought I must tell you about one of the projects I noticed on the site as it reminded me of Mary and her button necklaces.
It was for heart shaped button bracelets but wait for it - they weren't out of buttons at all, but made from crayons! I was quite amazed.
I thought they were an interesting idea because I've got bags of old crayons lying around.
I don't have the direct link to the button project, but here's the one for the site, it's got some amazing things including a birthday or wedding cake all made from paper, and each slice is a box for toys, sweets or favours.

Angela - ty I havent been to fat club this week as I was in Wales, watching the rugby match. And ty i think for the link, what a FAb site just spent an hour on there. Another thing to distract me from what i`m suppose to be doing.
Strawberry pips:eek: I eat loads. I did a silly thing the other day. Leader told me in fatclub that yellow plums speed up weight loss, so was mooching around the market and seen some. So I ordered a bag and while he was off getting my change, popped one in my mouth. When he came back was telling the stall holders how great they were for diets and that i was amazed they didnt have stones in. I ate another couple and offered one to OH, he said I thought you were getting plums....i`d only bought yellow plum tomatoes, no wonder the stall holder was looking at me strange:o
On a positive note DS has his results and he has three A* distinctions. Emailing results is no fun, but hes up college at 10 to get it in writing. So could be costly for me:o
Good luck to anyone getting results today :jChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Wow Susan, well done to your son, fantastic results xx
We are off up town again today. Oh isn't in best of moods lately, he has been on nights and is very moody, its like treading on eggshells all the time. Is getting me down a bit but then I get moaned at that I am moody lol. One of those things where only men in our house are allowed the privilege of being ill or moody or anything.0 -
Morning all
Susan, that's hilarious about the plums I was laughing aloud.
Your son sounds like a real brainbox, well done to him.
Rufus that eggshells feeling is horrible, hope your OH lightens up.0 -
Morning everyone
I emailed Artscow and they replied saying the free items for new members can only be used once a month so I cant order any more until September.
That's a bit crap of themit wasn't like that the first time I ordered from them, I'm sorry.
On the plus side if you have another email address you could refer yourself
Hope Mr Mary's saga is over with a happy ending soon, :j for Susan's DS and a big kick in the bum for Mr Rufus's mood.
Have packed three boxes and a crate for the house move. I guess it's really happening  We're going to need more boxes; my three boxes and a crate have cleared two and a half shelves.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hi Susan! lol @ your plum story!! FANTASTIC results for your son!!! Yeay!
Angela - I'd love the recipe, thanks! I'm doing a cross stitch of a group of us. The couple getting married are part of our paranormal group in the main organising group, so the cross stich is of the rest of us from that group dressed up for the wedding, the paranormal group badge, date of wedding, and hopefully an accurate version of what she's wearing on the day (as much as it can be in cross stitch!) - her mum emailed me some dress and bouquet details! lol
Mary - I would be FUMING over what's been going on - basically they said surgery OR antibiotics and now he's having NEITHER?!?!?!?!?! I'd be contacting MPs and newspapers by now!!
Rufus - know the feeling. OH been finishing his OU degree and it's been a bit like that now and again here. When he stopping doing nights?
Sugarspun - when you moving??

Sorry I didn't come on here yesterday. It was OH's day off, and then we had some bad news.
Angela - No, no princess that I can find - but I can go back to 1720 on one line. Do you watch Who do you think you are? Fascinating. I wasn't keen on Dot Cottons one, but JK Rowling last night was good.
Clare - Well Jell that's a new one. I must be showing my age. LOL. I bung it all in when I'm making jam. I do mash it a bit, to make it less lumpy to spread though. I'll find you a Jelly (as opposed to Jam) recipe. I have a huge book here. I'll sort some out for you.
Susan - How's your new car? I'm well jell (as Clare put's it) Money making doing well. Everything seems to have come together, so this month is my best yet, and we're only just over halfway.
Mary - thinking of you STILL. When will it ever end?
Knit - I think I forget to thank you for the info about 3DS games - I really appreciate it.
Sugar - when do you move out? You sound like you're getting there. It's such a nightmare isn't it?
Rufus - it must be a pain, nights one week and days the next. Mind you he's done it for a long time, perhaps something is bothering him. I do agree, it's not nice feeling like tippy toeing in your own home
I hope everyone is well. I wonder how mum2one is getting on too?I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Hi all
Mary, I'm wondering if OH is eating now?
Jam recipe
Clare, it seems as though whatever you have in fruit (weight) you have the same in caster sugar, heat slowly until boiling then reduce. It took about 30 mins when I had 7.5 pounds of fruit and same of sugar.
Actually I'm wondering if that was right, because 7.5 is the weight of a newborn baby and it didn't seem that heavy. Checking now..........
LOL, of course it's OUNCES not llbs.
After cooking, pour into a bowl and keep in the fridge. I've got mine in a small pyrex with a lid. You can see the pips, but I don't notice them when I'm eating.
Elysia, sorry to hear you had some bad news. I don't watch that 'Who do you think' show nowadays but did when it very first started.
I wonder if Mum2one will come back some some funny stories from her break.0 -
wow angela - was amazed by the jam recipe, til you changed the weights...lol
elysia - the new car is lovely ty. Had a towbar fitted today, while we waited for fitting went to factory shops. Got DS an outfit for doing so well. A tax disc and a colour tv license....odd combo i know, but hes off to leeds fest next week and wanted to keep his money for there. So they were things he needed for uni. He got me for new glasses yesterday.
cdsmiler - DD just got an house in New Tredegar, so I`ll be able to wave to you on visits....
mum2one - bound to come back with a laugh. Shes so good at telling it too.
Rufus - i know what you mean with OH, my dad did shifts all through my childhood. Never knew where we were....I olways used to dress up in fancy dress if he became unbearable and walk past the big window outside when i knew he was looking.Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0
