    Hello all :j

Gail - welcome to the thread:)

No gardener today..........well not till Monday now but he reckons three days and it'll be sorted. Can't see it myself with fence to stain then put up, raised beds to make, clear out pots I don't want etc. Still, we'll see. At least the 'man with a van' came today and took the rubbish away.........well most of it.....there's still the garage and shed to clear out.
OH has mad idea of sitting outside tomorrow and staining the little picket fence........... Can only see that spelling yet more aches and pains to what he's already got. Men !!
I've been making choccy bar covers out of felt to look like easter bunnys.............lol OH not impressed with them but I think they'll be ok. Only joke pressie for son and his girlfriend anyway.
Ran out of stick on goggle eyes so will get some tomorrow when cleaner takes me shopping (hope she does) and it might have helped if I'd had bars of chocolate but think I got the right size............lol:)

    Hope you're all ok:)

Hi everyone. I'm just quickly running in and out.

I had an email off buyagift. They've reduced some of their gift packages to £10. I went to order a photoshoot for DD1 and her friend was £50 and now £10. Vouchers last 10 months but I wanted it for her 21st this time next year. I may get it for Christmas instead, I'll have a think about it. :)

Anyway - all the details are here. http://www.buyagift.co.uk/content/pr...long*maincta*a I even have a voucher code for 10% off if anyone is interested. code is 357357.

There's golfing, wine tasting, pet photoshoots, paintballing etc - a good mix, plus there's some special offer's further down the page.

    Hello all :j
Cleaner took me into town so I've been and got my new specs -brilliant and even OH thinks they suit me. I'm c**p at picking out things like that.
Then on to supermarket to do fairly big shop.......seemed to take ages then we went to another frozen food place that does the ''ready meals'' a lot cheaper.......everywhere there was a queue  Still, it's done now. Picked up cute little gingerbread chickens to send off to one son and his girlfriend and got choccy bars for the felt choccy bar covered that are supposed to look like rabbits for other son and his girlfriend. Just need the googly eyes for one of them now........no parking near craft shop so I'll get someone to pick them up tomorrow for me.
Feel worn out now so it'll be a quick frozen ready meal tonight...............feel too tired to mess about with salad and stuff..........we'll have that tomorrow.
OH still hobbling but says he's better than he was.........he's longing to get out before he curls up with borefom !

    Hope you're all ok:)

Have a nice day Susan, I am dreading it in two years time when my CB stops, I dont have much other money for myself apart from what I manage to scrape on the other thread.

Did havea splurge this morning though, saw an offer on the Grabbit board about Superdrug, had some spend so much get so much discount etc so seeing as how I am doing youngest daughter a make up/toiletry basket for her birthday thought I would have a look. Have odered quite a few bits, think it was something like 12 items in my basket lol, some of the make up was buy three items for £4.99 and it took this discount off first. Filled my basket so it was just ove £25 to get 25% discount but by time it took off the three for £4.99 it had gone to under £25 so had to go back and put another item in my basket before code would work. Got it to work in the end and total came to £19.85 which isnt bad for 12 items seeing as one is a perfume. Will definitely fill up her basket as its only small, might fit in a couple of those body spray things you get in Wilkinsons but will see when the parcel arrives.

My order with Lloyds Pharmacy is still pending, I paid through Paypal and the payment still says pending in my Paypal account, not sure why this is, everything else I have paid has gone out. Wondering whether the shop is out of stock or something and that is why? Anyone else ordered from there in the past and paid by Paypal?

Wasnt going to spend anything today but had put £15 away towards a new dress for youngest daughter's prom, she wanted me to make her one if the one she borrowed off my eldest wasnt any good, and had sorted out what fabric to buy this morning but hadnt gone through checkout. Good job I waited as she texted me all excited saying her BF's Nan had given her a lovely dress which the colours match his shirt and tie so I dont need to buy anything now so used the money to get her birthday sorted instead.

    Hello all :j

susan - Think OH realisess now that doing the fence was a daft idea he had. I know how he feels though......sometimes when I'm sitting down and feeling ok I think I can do something and have to remind myself not to be so silly.......he's got a lift to the pub for couple of hours today.......says he really feels like going out and seeing people (know how he feels). Just hope he doesn't go sitting on a silly bar stool like last time and come home in agony........don't think I'll have much sympathy if he does.
He's had appt. through for fracture clinic for next week at some silly hour in the morning. I'll have to change it -he's no good when he first gets up. Takes painkillers to start to work before he can loosen up.
Had letter about the complain I made to the hospital...........looks like they're dealing with it properly and should at least get refund of his taxi fare home plus don't have to pay for painkillers he didn't want.

Spent all morning.....and half the afternoon ...writing Easter cards and wrapping up stuff for boths sons and they're girlfriends plus little grandson. I hoard all the jiffy bags I get and re-use them (very mse) but it wasn't easy to find one the right size for everything. Still, all done now and ready to post on Monday. Might get a taxi into town and do it myself.
Gardening chap's foot is still bad so nothing being done outside.........still at least the rubbish has gone and all the old wood. Ordered some evergreens and they're sat outside now with no home to go to till gardening chap is better:( Still, not the end of the world. They'll survive and his health is more important.

    Hope everyone's ok:)

    Morning everyone,

Made a start on my Dad's quilt last night, started embroidering some of the squares people are writing out for him. Have finished the third denim quilt, havent got a pic done yet but will try to get one done over the weekend and put it on my blog. Its turned out lovely but I wont be doing the fourth one like it as you have to cut fringes into the denim seams and then wash it in the machine to make the fringe go all raggy but it blocked up my machine and I had a right problem sorting it out so next one will be similar to the first two.

The next birthday I have to concentrate on is my eldest grandson and its not until November so got a long time to sort something out. He is going up into secondary school in September  Where as that time gone?? I will wait until nearer the time as his tastes will probably change between then and now.

Christmas presents are mostly sorted, just need to sort out something for my son, and get some more bits in for eldest daughter's basket, already have a few bits for her. Want to get a few more bits for the grandchildren but can do that throughout the year. Only other person then will be my Dad and think I will probably give him some Amazon vouchers so he can buy himself something. Also youngest daughter but she will probably want money so OH can sort that out.

Feels nice to have everything just about sorted and its only middle of April.

    Hello all :j
Not done a lot today except cover a little box....round one and felt sure I'd mess it up but it all went smoothly..........used coffee and cream coloured paper I'd got, I've got some coffee coloured ribbon to tie round it and think I'll fill it with either just chocolates or a mixture of chocolates and inspirational quotes........sort of ''pick and mix''...........lol
Builder chap working next door who we know has just brought round a mobility scooter..........had a little practise round the kitchen and managed to 'park' it ok..............lol Need to see what OH thinks before I make any decisions on it. The price is right and it's comfortable, would be very handy as long as it doesn't rain.............lol:)

    Hope everyones ok:)
