    Hello all :j
Sorted through Easter cards today -weather not so good and this afternoon it rained.
I'd done a few but still needed some more.......seemed to take me an age. Still, they're done now and after foraging about upstairs I found a little felt bag with a white felt rabbit on and inside was a bar of soap with a yellow duck on (grandson will think its a chicken...........lol) and a yellow bath scrunchie thing with a face on it. Just need some mini eggs to put in it now and its ready to post off for him.

Back aching like mad now.........back and forth putting card stuff away then OH wanted cod in butter sauce with peas and new potatos........three saucepans on the go......... I'm the worlds worst in the kitchen..........make real hard work of it all.................lol
Now off to the sofa I think..............:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Evening everyone

Had a busy day today, hosting an easter egg hunt for my little boy and his cousins. Got about 20 big eggs, then lots of diff sized eggs and plastic eggs filled with small mini egg sized ones. All in all i would say we have about 60 eggs so going to be a choclific day. Managed to get my OH egg from tesco £3 on offer and you get a nice mug with it so pleased with that. Got lots of balloons and a few decorations, aswell as my little ones Chic outfit and egg hunt basket. My first time doing anything like this and as its outdoors i hope the eggs stay ok :/

Also found myself a nice winter coat to put away in Primark for £5 down from £21, got it in a couple of sizes down as im doing slimmingworld and thought inspiration was needed hmmm!

Hi candi girl wow lots of eggs there. I bought mine weeks ago, but i shouldnt have they were a bargain, but im a chocoholic and have been opening the bottom and eating the chocolate bars so now need to go out and buy replacements so they wasnt that much of a bargain after all. Good luck with your easter egg hunt

Mary - know what its like with all the saucepans on the go, I use 5 at a time but thats because theyre too heavy to lift if I fuill them.

Hope mum 2 one having a good time with miss hoodie, cant wait for her to come back and tell us all about it.

Rufus - that bag is fantastic, its really beautiful , well done you , I useless sewing, went to a shop yesterday to have a zip put in a dress and they wanted £28:eek:, I havent a clue if thats the going rate, but Im now undecided as I`ve seen another dress I like £30 reduced and I could have a new one...:rotfl:

Well done sugarspun - on your money neutral, thats excellent:T

Clare- hope your keeping well, you must be enjoying the sunshine :)

Esmer - hope your move goes ok, its hard work moving, I should know, I dont think I`ve stayed in a house very long, but the next move will definately be the last - i hope. Its not for about 5 years though , but after trying so many houses I know what I want in the last one...:rotfl:

Candigirl - soounds like you will be having lots of fun with the eggs. I would have loved to do something like that for the kids when they were little. I did used to hide their eggs indoors and they thought the easter bunny had hid them but they only used to have one or two.

Susan - you made me laugh about you nicking the chocolate bars out of the bottom lol. Thanks for the comments on the bag, I have two more on the blog now that I made yesterday, think thats enough to keep me going for now. I dont know what the going rate is for putting a zip in a dress, I have put zips in OH's trousers and daughter's jeans before.

Esmer - keeping fingers crossed your move goes well xx

Mary - made me snile reading about OH and the cod in sauce, made me think of my Dad, he has that all the time with potatoes and peas. He cooks his potatoes and peas all in one saucepan, and he puts the cod in sauce in the microwave. The sauce comes out thicker for some reason in the mircrowave.

Cant do any sewing today or tomorrow as OH is on nights now for a while. I hate it when hes on nights, feel like I cant get on with anything.

    Hi all!

Just a quick question - does anyone know if theres a fantastically useful thread (just like this one!) about camping anywhere on the MSE boards??

Ooops, and another quick question - has anyone heard any rumours about a Go Outdoors sale at all??

I'm trying to distract myself a bit with camping plans! lol I should be trying to find new Avon reps for my team, but lacking motivation today (that's what you get when your 16 month old wakes ready for the day at 4.30am!!!). So if anyone is in South Wales and fancies giving Avon a go, give me a shout! lol I'm a fab upliner! (honest!! hehe)

Thanks ladies - I'm not being completely lazy, I HAVE searched for camping threads, but some of you just have the knack of finding things on here!!

    Hope you're all doing well!!!

    Hello all :j
Been to physio today...........few more exercises to do............didn;t seem too bad while I was there but oh how I ached when I got home............lol Still, I'll do them. I'll not let this beat me !
Made some 'random' cards that'll do for thankyous or anything really........didn't feel like doing anything else.
Chap came to do some more to the garden......he's getting on well with the wildlife part and move some of the more 'rampant' plants down there.......Thursday hopefully he'll be working his way upwards towards the bits of the garden I can see from the window.............oh eck, no he won't ! Little picket fence is being delivered tomorrow and that'll need staining and putting up..........separate the wild life bit from the rest.
Builder who was going to give a quote for downstairs loo has broke his foot..........just my luck so that'll have to wait now plus I wanted him to do some outside work as well..........oh will it ever be done I wonder..............:o
Desparately need stuff to go to the tip and can't pin man with a van to a particular day this week or whenever.............. Put some stuff on freecycle -containers, wall hangers etc. and hoping they'll go s.a.p. .........and so it goes on...........poor OH still suffering and getting into the habit of watching afternoon tele now to try and break the boredom. If he had a hobby it might help but he's never been that sort of person.
Really must cover the boxes that neighbour keeps bringing round...................lol Might just get me motivated to making something for pressies:)

    Hope you're all ok:)

Hi Gail, Welcome to the thread. Mum2one sets a challenge each month to keep us occupied lol and to help us get organised. This is the latest one, they are posted 24th of the month https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/42278256#Comment_42278256

You can do as much as you like from the challenge, up to you.

Tip for getting organised which most of us do is to get a note book or something similar and keep it in your bag at all times and put a list of people you buy for each year, birthdays, Xmas, mothers day whatever, then as you buy presents mark off who they are for then you wont end up doubling up. You can also write if you think of something they might want so it reminds you like if they mention something to you they would like etc.

You can join our sister thread, https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2940122, on there we support each other with ideas and kicks up the b side to get money making to pay for all our gifts so that by end of year we are "Money Neutral" for gifts etc. There should be a spreadsheet you can download, might be on the other thread on post 1 or 2 which you can use to keep a check on what you are buying and how much you are earning etc.

Hope you have a good time with us, Rufus xx

    Morning all

I did another Vista order this morning, shouldnt really as money a bit tight at the moment but was hoping it might go through TCB but think they might have got wise to it or something as when I went through this morning it put everything in my basket at full price of £25.96!! So came back again and did it without going through and it came to £8.18 inc pp. Not bad when you think of it, got four items and that makes them £2 ish each. I did some stickers for my brother to stick on the back of his paintings, only got one sheet but might get some more at a later date, got a mug for daughters friend, a pen for daughter and some more headed notepaper for ExMil. Just need to get her a pen now and that might do her altogether if I put some stamps in with it all or something. Might buy some cheap writing paper to go with it or even just cut up some plain white, now thats and idea :T

Was having a go at the third denim quilt last night while the football was on, trying to cut a fringe all over it, was taking ages and I was making a right mess, good job OH was on nights. Might have to do a bit more during the day today while he is asleep. Sooner I can get this one finished I can start on my Dad's one. I will still have one more denim one to do though.

    Afternoon everyone

No one been on since I came on this morning lol. I just ordered a couple of nice bits on the Lloyds pharmacy site. Got a Cath Kidston manicure set, was down to £4.50 from £8.99 and a little Impulse set down from £4.99 to £2.50. Had to pay postage but I didnt mind that as I wanted the manicure set for my son's GF for Xmas as she loves her stuff. Will make her a bag out of the fabric I have left over to go with it so that will be her sorted. The impulse set will go in the basket for youngest daughter for her birthday.
