Morning everyone
It was my brithday yesterday so didnt come on much. Went out for lunch and had a really bad experience. Went to a Hungry Horse restaurant and it was such a shambles. to cut a long story short I had to have my hot chocolate changed 4 times as first it was coffee, and then next three times it was cold. Never did get a hot cup. My dinner was missing some bits, my dad's dinner was missing altogether and my other halfs dinner was cold and rubbery. Dad had to have another dinner cooked while I was eating mine, and other half was trying to sort out what was going on, then he had to have another one cooked. No serivce at the bar, waited over 10 minutes to get served with a drink and it wasnt even busy. Dads dinner came with things on it he had asked them not to put on. It was a rigth fiasco and really spoiled the day. Hence to say I have written them a long complaint letter this morning and left a review on DY.
On a good note though I had some nice things, OH bought me a special foot for my sewing machine that I wanted and a dvd, his Mum bought me a lovely top and I got loads of lovely flowers. Son bought me some gorgeous Cath Kidston fabric so I can make myself some bags. Dad gave me some money and while out we popped in a charity shop near the restaurant and I found two lovely tops and a cardigan in my size which were brand new from M&co and they were priced £3.49 each so got a good bargain.
We are off out again today, not sure where we are going but thought we would make up for yesterday.0 -

Big belated happy birthday to mum2one! I know she won’t see this as she’s off away! Very jelous! Hope you and Miss Hoodie have a wonderful time!
Real Toothfairy – well done on the smoking front!!! FANTASTIC!
SugarSpun – LOVE your toddler challenge blog! She is such a sweetie!
Sounds like you’re having trouble with family though…hope it all sorts itself out!
Mary – big hugs to you and your hubby!
Rufus – you’re doing fab as usual – hope your leg feels better. Belated happy birthday to you too!
Hello and belated welcome to candie_gill! Hope your driving test went well!
Susan – keep smiling!
Restricted – hope you’re doing ok!
Esmer – yes, how did the honey trap go?!?!?!
Well I’m so sorry I’ve been off for a while. We’ve had a terrible tummy bug here – DD had it really badly, and what with her bumping her head the day before it all started, we ended up in hospital for 5 hours on the first day of her having it really bad in case the sickness was down to the bump! It wasn’t, as I had it 5 days later, and hubby a day or two after me!! We’re all pretty clear of it now, and DD has bounced back amazingly!
What with that and my being a Sales Leader for Avon and trying to get a team together… I’m knackered! No time for making jewellery at the moment that’s for sure!
Plus I’m now getting frustrated as there’s NO way we can afford to buy a tent this year (our current one is just not practical or big enough for us with a little one) and since this lovely weather has started all I want to do it go camping! Or mess about in the garden (no hope – our garden is a nightmare). Hoping a day at my parents this Sunday messing about and potching in their garden will help me get it out of my system!
Anyway, I better go. Miss you all. Big help to anyone lurking or who I might have missed!!!!

Hello all :j
rufus -belated happy birthday:T
clare -you think your gardens a nightmare you should see mine at the minute........ Work in progress as they say...............lol Gardener/odd job chappie has cleared the bottom area thats a wild life section so I can see what survived the winter -spotted quite a few frogs in the pond-and work out what to transplant down there from the rest of the containers that I'm getting rid of...........seem to have loads of grasses so they can go down there and fill gaps, plus few rampant shrubs.....they be wild as they like down there. The rest looks total tip at the minute.............loads of bags of garden stuff to go to the tip........wood to be collected and stuff all over the garden table (not the new one thankfully !) -pots of paint we don't want a general ''stuff''. Too depressing to sit out there at the minute and look at that lot...............lol
Still I've ordered a little picket fence and gate to separate that area from the rest -they're being delivered next Wednesday - and now looking for a little bistro set -table and two chairs to me....lol- that I can put on the paved area near the pond.
OH went for his xray Wednesday.......ouch !! So much pain not helped by extreme constipation ! (he'd been given stuff for it but being a bloke thinks it should have been sorted within hours not days...........lol) Results of xrays came Thursday -GP rang with them.........seems he's fractured two vertebra and now being referred for bone scan and orthopedic consultant...........!! Same as I was ! Oh dear...........two peas in a pod or what !! The annoying thing is that is the main hospital he went to 2 weeks ago had done an xray as asked then this would have been picked up then and appts. made earlier.............I've complained already and now will add this little lot to it. Whoever saw OH then has some explaining to do I think.
Yesterday we seemed to have a houseful of visitors.........can go days and not see a soul and they all come at once..................lol Never mind........made a refreshing change.
OH's constipation now sorted :T and he's got some elbow crutches from Red Cross and can get about better with them.
Well, think thats all my goings on for last two days..........and I've nearly finished knitting sons girlfriends scarf:T
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi everyone....Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine. I am!!! Had a lovely picnic in our local park yesterday was really nice with DH. Then today ordered my new cooker....went to Currys to look at models and then ordered on internet as I had probs with the one I ordered 2 weeks ago then they had probs sorting the refund so said when I reorder they would give me £20 back......so ended up saving over £50!! Thats coming next Thurs. Got some bits from Primark and place my bets for Grand National tomorrow lol
Smoking - I am a non-smoker!!
Eating - My appetite has increased but its not too bad and I have not put on any weight!
Mary - Hope things get sorted health wise for you and DH (((((HUGS))))
BIG QUESTION FOR ALL U CAKE MAKERS!! Has anyone got a recipe for the Giant Cupcake (the silicone one that ones in two parts) I would be really grateful.
Ta in advance
Love Lisi xxNever buys anything at full price unless completely forced to do so!!! :whistle:0 -
hi toothfairy - i make cupcakes but wouldnt have a clue I know they work on 4:4:2 but what multiple you`d want would be hard depending on conteiner size.
If i was guessing I`d work on a victoria sponge ratio. And see how full the container is. Otherwise I`d post it on the homemade cake forum, the girls on there would know.
Hi cdsmiler - long time no see
hi restricted - nice to see everyone popping in
Mary - I wouldnt worry about the garden, i dont lol. So sorry about OH back , I broke mine in 1991, they so annoying as the pain is awful, it 1991 they put a plaster jacket on me from the top of my thighs to over my breasts. God it was so annoying and when i went to toilet it would slice my thighs in half. And with it being summer it itched like mad and was so smelly. Lets hope they dont give him one of those...
mind you the one at the nec this week would be nice if anyone knows of one less than £100, 000Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Hello all :j
Lovely day and I know I should be sitting in the garden/rubbish tip but its so bright and neither me nor OH can put the old parasol up..............lol So, instead I sat at the kitchen table and finished off knitting sons girlfriends scarf..........lol
OH got a lift to the pub (he's got some elbow crutches now and walks better with them than walking frame........poor soul hasn't been out of the house for three weeks.....and he's hoping there will be someone in there who can pick up bits of shopping I forgot to get and put bet on the national for us both. Neighbours out all day otherwise she'd have done it all..........including putting up parasol.
susan - dont think they'll give OH anything like that........haven;t done so far, just been painkillers and told it'll be 4-6 weeks recovery. He's a bit like me at the minute..........good days and bad days and expect thats how it'll be till he's ok again.
I''m not too worried about the garden.........just frustrating looking at it all but I've worked out what plants can be transferred to the wild life bit and that'll leave some space so I can see where I want the raised beds to go. Should be sorted by end of April............just not sure which year............lol:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Wow, it's quiet - I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine
I'm finally cash neutral and all gifts are bought (and then some; my BIL has decided to cut us off again so the gifts for his kids are now "spares"). My new projects aside from the 30 days blog are first to make myself money-neutral on the dress I bought for the wedding in June and second to do something for a friend's fundraising efforts. Her nephew has terminal cancer, he's only 8 years old
and he wants to go to Disneyland. Make A Wish can't help him for a complicated reason so they're trying to fund it themselves. Information is here if anyone's interested/might like to donate a spare make to the online auction.

Morning everyone
Had a nice weekend, got our garden a bit more sorted, all the paving and patio is cleaned and a couple of pots have flowers in, the furniture is out too so looking forward to spending some time out there again. Need to get out and do some pruning this afternoon if I can so the rubbish can go tomorrow.
I made myself a new bag over the weekend with some fabric my son bought me for my birthday, there are some photos of it on my blog. I hve cut out another bag ready to sew up, this time a shopping type bag.
Had my last order arrive today from Vista, a mug for one of OH's godsons, a t-shirt for oldest Grandson, and a pen for myself, very pleased with everything so far. I have nearly finished now, but ordered another lot this morning lol. Ordered a mug for OH's other godson, some headed note paper and matching envelopes for ExMil, a t-shirt for middle grandson and a pen for SIL. Would like to get another lot of the headed paper for ExMil to make it into a nice set for her and may be another pen to go with it. Not sure what else to order at same time as don't really need any more mugs although saying that I suppose I could order some girly ones and put my best friend on them in case youngest daughter wants them as Christmas presents with sweets in. Will have to see.
I'm off out for a walk up the post office now while to get a bit of fresh air. Catch you all later Rufus xx0
