I did well yesterday, spent the whole day sewing, as well as finishing the hoody I got all my other sister's quilt pieced together (its a smaller one, one that drapes across the end of a double bed) and started quilting it, plus I cut out some denim squares for next quilt.

Do you use a tool to cut out your squares?

I am lucky now Esmer as my son bought me a large cutting mat and a special big rule that you can use with a rotary cutter for cutting out. It is so much better than trying to do them with scissors like I used to do before.

I'm glad to see you're all sorted now Mary. That little lot will make life a bit easier for you. :)

Hi all - just popping in to update on my challenge.

I've done the fridge freezer, cleaned and sorted - we didn't really have any 'odd' meals, we just used up lots of odd bits, a packet with one waffle in, and a box with one piece of fish etc, so while we didn't eat anything strange, we did look funny sitting there the four of us, all with something different to eat. I still have the chest freezer still to do but it's jam packed.

I've bought a new steam cleaner and was working through the kitchen, cleaning the units, the floor and the windows, until the blooming thing kept falling to bits. I do love it, so QVC will just have to send me a replacement.

I even sat there Saturday night and made a cross stitch card - I haven't done one for about a year now. I sorted all my little kits and flosses out when the challenge was posted, so I feel quite proud that I managed to complete it. I might even make another :) It was lovely to do something creative for a change. :)

I need to look back at the challenge and see what else I need to do. Will be back soon.

Hugs to everyone - Take care xxx

Thanks everyone, I will defo err on the big side, there is nothing worse than knitting then finding the garment is too small.

In the middle of knitting some cancan scarfs to pack away for christmas 2011. I would recommend these scarf for knitting up quickly but the wool is £10 a ball so not cheap but you can get 2 scarfs out ir or one very long scarf and they look more complicated than they are !

    Morning all

Did a bit more to the quilt yesterday, its getting there quite quickly. Think I might sew some beads on this one when its finished.

My last Vista order should be here today or tomorrow. Did another one this morning but messed up a bit. I want to get my four nieces each a pen, keyring, notebook and cotton bag. Well I had ordered them all except for one of them I hadn't ordered the notebook or keyring (it was the first one I did and didnt realise I could get notebooks or keyrings) so today I had got everything else so thought I'd do one of the mugs for one of my Great Nieces. Ordered her a cotton bag as well, did the notebook for my Niece but then instead of ordering a keyring I ordered a pen instead. Didnt realise what I had done, and it came up after saying I could order another pen for 25p so clicked on that, then went to my spreadsheet to put in what I ordered and realised I had already got the pen before. Plus when I got the order through the email it looks like the one for 25p will have her name on it as well so that will be three pens with her name lol. Next order I will have to remember to get a keyring.

I have three more mugs to get (1 Great Niece and two Great Nephews) and I will get a cotton bag for the girl, and may be a t-shirt each for the boys if I can find a design they might like.

I have a younger GNiece and GNephew too but think the mugs might be too grown up for them but might do the girl a cotton bag. Might even get the boy one as well if they have a more boy themed design. Can fill them with some sweets.
