Thanks so much HC. I can crochet the basic stitches but I have to get my mum to start me off. I may give it a try again. :)

How's everyone? Not had much timeto keep up lately. I promise, I'll try harder.

I have valentines sorted, and every birthday, mothers, fathers day card etc until November thanks to the funky pigeon deal. I ordered my OH a red letter day experience with a free £15 voucher, so that's towards his birthday. Mothers day, and Easter presents done. Nephews Birthday presents bought, I just need something for OH's main pressie and then I'm finished present buying until Fathers Day. I don't have a birthday until October then, and even that's bought. I have so many presents already it's untrue.

Thanks so much to all you ladies, for keeping me organised.

I'm sure everything work out, the main thing is keep calm, (I know easier said than done), we're just waiting for court home visits, yet he didn't even bother doing a telephone interview with the carfass officer, didn't turn up for the directions hearing, yet the judge givess him the benefit of the doubt.

    Hiya

I have been given two already , one is in the medicine unit at work , all parents were given a letter today saying not to pack their kids anything with nuts in like peanut butter ect and to check cereal bar for nuts... My manager is also going to ask the local area health nurse to teach the rest of our staff epi pen training too.

Can u please tell me how you feel when a reaction is coming on , how you know weather to call an ambulance ect because when I had the first reaction I just felt a bit "rough" and my skin felt on fire but I didn;t realize my face/eyes/neck had all swelled my colleagues made me look in mirror and i was shocked. x

In a way it sounds weird - I've had 6 now, but some been mild and stopped with allergy tablets

    I go through
Arms go bright red and really hot, it feels like someone could fry an egg on there.
Then I get breathless, like I'm about to have an asthma attack (the 3 mild ones stopped at that stage)

    Major ones
    Symtoms carried on-
Bright red in my face and neck, you can literally follow the colour going
I get pins and needles in my lips
My teeth / gum feel like I'm drunks they go numb
Toungue feel that getting harder to move (swelling by then)
Really struggle to get a breath in.

For me - if I've gone past mild and any other symptons - I jab away, as I've already had an allery tablet, then call 999 say had an apahylisis shock, - the adrelin in the epi pen - not as strong as a doctor would give you, but it gives you a head start.

But for me the day after, I'm like a zombie - literally sleep.

From your description it sounds like you just went into major attack.

If yours if nuts, you need to check every label, ask at restaurants, I remember when I was expecting Miss Hoodie, we'd gone to a W pub to get something - and remember the Sunday lunch hadn't got a nut free zone - when I was with it, no peanuts, no soft cheese, etc, - he said that some places put nuts in with their brussel sprouts.

Have you had any allergy testing - may be more than nuts.

Sounds like your manager is being really pro-active, which is half the battle, the 1st one I had no idea what it was, - all hell broke lose, but I've them from granery bread, mint tac tacs, korma, seaseme seeds, wine - so I'm in trial and error stage.

    Plz take care xx

Oh don't be daft, you're not being rude! lol I think the fact I've not put much on is because I've been (trying!) to go to Zumba once a week. Because I have NOT been watching what I've been eating!!! lol

    Thanks susan.

I hope any of you with evil Ex problems are doing ok. It's not as bad as you lot, but en ex I was with for 5 years (not married) left me in MAJOR financial problems, so I can sympathise.

Anyway, long day in work today for me, so I'll probably be on and off all day! Have a good day all.

Hi everyone have been a bit absent recently - between being really busy and work and had a few blips at the start of the year. My aunt died and her house needed cleared etc so that was tough on everyone and I just haven't been in the right frame of mind for a while.
    BUT.....
I'm back and going to try and catch up on the 50 odd pages i've missed to get me in the right direction again.

Hope everyone is doing well that 2011 is proving not to be too bad and hello to any newbies - will try and catch up fast so I can see what I've missed.
