esmer - banana cake sounds lovely, when i made one OH didnt fancy it so i gave it to daughters boyfriend to take home in the car with him, she phoned to tell me she got home ok, and zak had ate the whole loaf cake  because it was lush. Never made one since...:rotfl:

happy crafter, well done on the crocheting, thats one craft i want to crack this year, am in the process of saving for a sewing machine though...so one craft a year should be fine....

    Hello all:j

    restricted - glad you're feeling better :)

rufus - managed to find really easy pattern on internet...........don't know why I hadn't found it before...............otherwise I was going to do as you suggested. Just need OH to get the wool and needles for me now so I can make a start.:)

Not done much today as Age concern lady came to fill in DLA forms.............took ages but they have to be done right.
Gale force winds here again........hardly dare look at our trees

Did look out some magnets and stuck them on the back of my little bits of knitting on cocktail sticks and I'd printed out images of lady knitting so made a couple of little gift bags to put the knitting in...........just a daft little pressie for a couple of mates..............lol:)

Computer behaving oddly again........wouldn't show usual btyahoo homepage.............came up as page cannot be displayed just like last week and e mails not working. Went onto google search engine and so far so good...............fingers crossed its just the weather............lol:)

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I found a really good video, which explained it clearly and also had slow motion close up shots, I can post the link if anyone is interested when I get home.

Good luck, what I did when we picked up the epi-pen had an appointment with the nurse, so we had a family outing to see how it works, incase it happended some-one else knew.

had another one tonight, dad got fresh (sounds daft but its a Sunday treat), he thought he was being nice by getting brown, - he got granery, nobody checked, - wham bam here we go, - rolled up trs leg - get to the muscle quicker, (thou u can jab through clothes), thought the jab was hard going, I'd only rammed it through the rolled up trs leg. We had a dishy paramedic came out, next min got an ambulance crew ready to whisk me in!! touch wood it sorted itself out.

Mother - hen again - sounds daft but ask your gp can you have 2, (they might have a moan, - the pens on average have a 12 month shelflife, and you don't know you if your going to use it), but what I do id carry one in my handbag - leave the 2nd at home - in the unit - safe to hand.

    Hiya

I have been given two already , one is in the medicine unit at work , all parents were given a letter today saying not to pack their kids anything with nuts in like peanut butter ect and to check cereal bar for nuts... My manager is also going to ask the local area health nurse to teach the rest of our staff epi pen training too.

Can u please tell me how you feel when a reaction is coming on , how you know weather to call an ambulance ect because when I had the first reaction I just felt a bit "rough" and my skin felt on fire but I didn;t realize my face/eyes/neck had all swelled my colleagues made me look in mirror and i was shocked. x

    Morning all!

esmer - how did your visit to the solicitors go?

Well, weighed myself last night and was pleased that since I last weighed myself in the Summer (after 3ish months of WW) I've only put on 1 lb! Quite impressed, especially considering all the biscuits I've HAD to be finishing off from Christmas!! lol

    Have a good day all.
