why doesn't santa go to the poor people ??

DS1 (7yrs) keeps asking me this after studying the poor in Africa at school and also being told that some children in this country get no presents. So far I've skirted around it but how do I give him an answer? TIA xx

When mine got to the age when they began to question if santa was really existed i told them as long as there was one little girl or boy in the world who believed in him he would be real
