hi
long time no post - hope you are staying calm as can be re the job.
I have been there a couple of times waiting for other departments to move at snails pace, and it is so frustrating. Once waiting for security clearance for my ex hubby when we had no money coming in at all, and once for an HR department from the dark ages to confirm all the hoops had been jumped through etc. Awful awful, people sometimes just don't think about the real world consequences of their stupid paperwork systems!
thoughts are with you and hope it all comes together soon

and bahhhh to people criticising your/others' lifestyle choices. My aunty was killed in a road accident crossing the road outside her house. Does this mean I should never drive a car? Of course not, but the amount of people that whine on at me about how dangerous motorbikes are....don't get me started. Live, make the most of it and let others live! :mad:0 -

I get the same old drivel about marriage and kids. The things that annoys me the most is when people who I thought know me well make stupid comments. A lot of my friends have had babies recently and when I've told people I'm off to see the new arrivals I get all manner of comments which range from rude to irritating.
Whilst I will concede that newborns are very cute and have very lovely wardrobes - the sight of one is not yet sufficient to make me give up my money, my freedom, my independence, my social life or my job. (Obviously I'm being a bit extreme here but I'm trying to make a point!!!!!)
I'm not dead set against marriage and kids and who knows what the next few years bring but facing facts, I'm nearly 36 and still single so it is a pretty slight chance. And if that is the way it is then I'll be delighted....I'm not cut out to be a sockwasher (copyright Souk!)
Although my first car was Fiat Panda which I loved dearly and I can highly recommend a car in these financially straightened times which is cheap to run and insure and is also easy to fix yourself with one of those Haynes manuals!!!
And I have a set of matching pans - don't be a hater....
ps. very jealous of your Monday night shenanigans, I'm working too hard at the moment to consider school night partying!! Booooo!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction

Hi all,
Been feeling a bit sorry for myself but I'm back on the case and thought I should update with what's happening.
I have been out of work for a week now so have signed on
I got a good final pay from my job so this and my benefit should mean that my bills are covered for next month and I wont have to dip too far into my savings pot.
The company who want to employ me are STILL making all the right noises and should confirm this week but as it's dragging on and on I decided to apply for other work and may have something in the pipeline. I need to chase them up on Monday to see if they want to interview me and if they do it will be on Friday. I have also asked about the possibilty of temp work at one of my old employers and again will speak to her on Monday.
Inspired by the wonderful Mary Portas I have also decided to trawl the department stores on Monday and speak to my contacts in them all to see if I can meet any of the recruitment managers for a chat. These places tend to have loads of jobs going but they are mainly advertised on job boards inside the staff areas so if I can get in and have a nosey then that would be great.
So thats all the job malarkey over...on to the more exciting stuff!
Tomorrow is my bday :j:j:jso I have been celebrating this weekend. I was taken out for lunch yesterday and we also had dinner out and I went to my friends work do in between! His colleagues are lovely and I was obviously a hit as they have asked me out again, despite the fact that I dont work there :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I spent a truly horrendous amount of cash yesterday  but it was fun.
I'm out with my gay boys tonight for pizza/pasta along the way and then back here for much drinking of wine:beer:, eating carp and dancing round the living room. Can't wait!!!!
I went to Mum and Dads the other day and we had a lovely time as usual. Mum bought me some bits in Asda and also...... a Kindle for my bday and some cash for books for it!!!!! I am going to open it and charge it soon so that I can play with it tomorrrow. I also have a few cards, a fab Carrie Diaries book and a voucher from my brother for Boots. My sisters present is winging its way to me and my Aunty has lost hers in her house as it's so untidy:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I think she may need my help!!!!
I'll open the rest of my bits tomorrow. So exciting.
Money wise I'm okay. Bit too much spending going on but on track with groceries and shouldn't need to dig in to my savings just yet.
Away to charge up the kindle!'The road to a friends house is never long'0
