    Hi lovelies,

I hear y'all and I do get you but it's all property related reasons and NOT to with me and some of them I cant really share on here. Also I dont understand them as Ive never bought a house, so its all 'eh' to me. All contracts and councils and ZZZZZZZ.

I HOPE its all sorted this week but if not I will have to take myself out of it and start applying for other stuff. London is kind of out as the only folk I have down there really are about to travel the world for a year so Im going to look up here. If I HAVE to take a step down then of course I will but frankly I havent listened to the utter piffle of all these women all year to have to do that!!!

Feeling better after a bit of mum time tbh. Also very low on Friday as I was out for a friends bday on Thursday and her friend and I had a bit of a row. And yep it was around the usual nonsense of why dont you want a man/baby/fiat uno and set of matching pans. Contemplated just lying to avoid any hassle and pretending to randoms who ask that 'I just haven't met the right man yet' but that would make me feel like what I want is so odd I cant even say it and still make me feel on the outside of most womens company, which I am anyway IYSWIM but SO fed up of this continually rearing its ugly head. I dont bring it up but I hate having to defend myself and REALLY didn't need it on Thursday! TBH I hate the idea of camping....but Im far too polite to go slagging off folk who do!!!!!!!

Rant over. In with X Factor tonight and VERY busy week ahead. I'll keep you posted X

Don't be anyone other than yourself, Souk. If people don't accept you for that, then stuff'em.

I absolutely agree with that statement, mainly because thanks to a bevvy of people at work telling me I'll change my mind about being a parent. No I bloody won't, now leave me to my happy barren life.

Pah and grrrr to people who feel the need to comment/ question on other people's choices like that  Matching pans are so overrated anyway ;) Seriously though I'd be so tempted to start asking them equally intrusive questions!

Hope you have a happier week this week (and job news!)

  • So bad that people feel the need to comment and make out its strange if you don't have the same life choices as them!!??

Its totally different (but had the same kind of feeling to me) but I used to be naturally very thin (I hated it and couldn't put weight on no matter how I tried) and people used to think it was fine to say things like 'my god you're too thin, eat something girl' but yet I doubt they would go up to someone who was very over weight and say you need to stop eating you're greedy....just as you wouldn't go up to someone with loads of kids and say err how irresponsible to have loads of kids in this day and age what bad parents you must be....

I would just say to them I choose not to have children because I choose to spend my life loving other peoples children so I can hand them back and have a fabulous child free independent do as I please fabulous life!!!!

You enjoy yourself, of course you're fabulous!

I don't quite get the same comments as you, being a bit older. But I did get criticised for bringing my son up alone (children need 2 parents etc.) , and I found myself not replying to questions about 'is there a man in your life' if I thought the answer might shock.

Nowadays I'd shock them and be done with it!

last time someone asked me that I asked them why they had children...............

the other good one is why did you marry so and so - in a slightly disparaging tone of course.

however I am quite a !!!!! at times, a very good friend asked me how much I had in my savings account and I told her to mind her own business!

and frankly under any circumstances I'd want a better car than a Fiat Uno.

Good luck with the job xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
