e2 save cash back problem

The problem using just recorded delivery is that the RM won't say it's lost till after 15 working days (ie 3 weeks). This could be too late to resend.
If there is a scam going on here, then it is the RM who are scamming you by taking your money and not providing the service!
As posted above, getting 6 stamps off them for failing to provide the service hardly helps out if you lose your cashback through this!0 -
I never send it recorded, i always send it to them as soon as i can then if it hasnt arrived within 2 weeks send again. You can check on their website to see if they have recieved it!:j rolo-polo1965 :j0

To clarify; Quentin is correct - the only completely safe means is special delivery with consequential loss insurance - that way Royal Mail has to pay if all else fails. I have never used special delivery (but always have a back-up plan). It's actually probably years since i've even used recorded.
Nowadays I break my ground rules (but only because I keep a very close eye on things, claim immediately and have back-up plans). I send second class normal post and allow just a few days for written acknowledgement of receipt AND then acceptance. I have 60 days to claim so am still well within the first 30 to take appropriate action if needbe.0 -
Consequential loss insurance would be the "belt and braces", but that extra expense could be used as last resort.
Usually the letter does arrive but RM just don't do the job they advertise and charge for (signed for). My last encounter when I never received the sig. was sorted by simply contacting the merchant asking why my claim hadn't been acknowledged. An apology and an update was given.
Still claim off RM though and get those free stamps.
My preference is for "signed for" (£1.15 which includes the 74p premium for the sig.) as I like to see the sig. and keep it as "evidence", but you could just send by 2nd class if wanted and rely on the acknowledgement.

Apologises to E2Save having contacted them today they have confirmed that as I have proff of postage in the form of the RD ref. no. they will honor my cashback should the RD letter never arrive and there is no need for me to send duplicates. They did also say they are having problems with the snow/post delivers to theri offices.
Apperently they will text me on Friday to confirm the cheque's on it's way even if the RD letter does not arrive.

Really useful advice for me here as I am about to send off my first cashback claim to e2save.
Having had another good look at their site and the terms and conditions I cannot see a claim form. Can someone confirm that you currently send only your statement and there is no other paperwork required.
Many thanks in advance!

yes, just the statement. (make sure the statement has all the details asked for in the t&cs).i have 2 contracts with them. send it as soon as possible. that gives you plenty of time to chase up any 'delays' that might occur. having said that, i am getting my cheques within 2 weeks of posting the statement.0
