it was most likely the little lego men you eat when your internet connection is down. The rest of the time you post nonsense like the above.

They seem like a very good idea, but like most...how the heck do you put them in and take them out?:o

I can't believe I'm writing this but... in an American forum I visit, one lady randomly recommended the instead cups for people who want to have sex at that time of the month. Not as a contraceptive, but for their containment properties I think they sit higher than the moon cups etc.
BTW one reason mooncups don't come in colours etc, as they think that sticking to pure medical grade silicon with no added extras inc. colours is the most healthy idea.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Wow!! I have never heard of these before, let alone use one. I am really surprised at the response & the amount of people that use them! Definitely going to have a look in the new year. I just use pads & I'm always really heavy, so it's awful, tampons don't work, if I have one in then I need a pad too  I've tried em all too, including super plus. Wondering if it's got anything to do with having 5 kids
With this, is there any leakage? Does anyone know the best one to use? also, after having 5 children, will it stay in?
:rotfl:

mooncup is the best thing ever. very easy to use and clean. the little tail on the bottom of the cup can be cut as it might not be comfy at first. very easy to insert.
there are two sizes . one for ladys who have not had children and one for us that have.
i still use a pad at night but thats just me as when your heavy and laying down , i have found it can leak.0 -
I started with a Mooncup, but found it didn't quite have sufficient capacity - it did leak at night as it filled up completely. I then got a large Lunette, and that has proved far better - and to be honest, is a tad more comfortable. I trimmed the stem off completely. If you have very heavy periods you will need to empty it more often.
Incidentally, many brands of mooncup are coloured; the colour is added in the manufacturing process and cannot leach out.0 -
I looked at the mooncup after I had my firt baby but couldnt bring myself round to the thought of trying it but now I have had my second baby I think I may give it a go. Does anyone know if it is ok to use with a coil fitted?
I still havent started my periods yet as I am still breastfeeding, and am not looking forward to them again after over a year of not having them. Is there a way to know what size you may need? as even though I have had 2 babies when I had my second I had to be induced again and the consultant told me that if he didnt know from my records he would have thought this was my first baby so maybe I need a smaller size?? Guess you can't send it back if you get the wrong size :eek:0 -
With moon cups there are two sizes one for under 30's with no children and the other for over 30's and/or those who have had a child.vharbourne wrote: »I looked at the mooncup after I had my firt baby but couldnt bring myself round to the thought of trying it but now I have had my second baby I think I may give it a go.
