Laides Sanitary Stuff - Cheap Instead Cups

Got the usual raft of special offer emails this morning - guess like everyone else :rotfl:

24 pack of instead cups for £13.50

I know there not everyone's cup of tea but I love them, plus I can't use tampons :(

Could you imagine the mess trying to get one of them out

  • My wife has a mooncup, you'd think they way she tells other women about them that she had shares in the company :D

If you want to save money, I would imagine reusable is better than disposable.

  • the mooncup is great, environmentally friendly, and clean. Been uing it for ten years, recommended for those who are in touch with their bodies and open minded.....
  • The same website sells the Femmecup, similar to Mooncup.
There's a whole world of cups out there! I never dreamed that they'd make disposable ones!
@ vadonald: I have one too, we're just spreading the word!

I am on a table called Cerazette (a progestogen-only pill).

I know it doesn't work for everyone, but I don't have periods at all and the pills are free. Only 1 check up per year as it has less side-effects than the other pills e.g. less frequent blood pressure checks.

    Brilliant (and free).

I used to use a mooncup but having put on some weight I can't find a design that's comfortable any more - this looks to be more like a diaphragm than a cup and so might suit some women (e.g. me) better. Only problem is that they are plastic and I can't reconcile myself to using disposable ones...

Umm this isn't true. I'm on this too and its totally dependant on each person as to whether it stops periods. Its also rumoured to be getting axed as its the most expensive mini pill for the NHS to buy...

I can't bear the thought of having to wash out a reusable one that's why I opted for the disposables. I only have 3/4 day cycles so a box of 24 can do me 3 cycles.

    You've probably already seen: http://www.femininewear.co.uk/menstrual-cups-menstrual-cups-c-15_214.html?osCsid=c7eghef4lh76542e0ca5i3aps1

So many pretty colours! I have heard/read that the Mooncup is the stiffest and hardest to use, maybe one of the other, softer ones may work for you?
