They have a limit of six months to "lay information before the courts" this does not mean you cant be summonsed later then the six months. It seems a long time if they were going to summons him.

That's what I thought. I believe the ticket was issued due to O/H parking close to - but not over - the driveway of a semi. The resident was sitting on his front wall drinking beer and laughing when O/H went back to his car and a friend who lives in that road says the man's son is a PCSO. This friend thinks the son gives the resident blank parking tickets to use when people park close to his driveway, which sounds odd to me but you never know.

    Something's obviously amiss somewhere.

Is that possible? I thought they were serial numbered?
  • There's an awful lot of this which does not make sense.FPN would not give an extra 30 day to pay.
Council ticket time scales are different.
Sounds like a made up ticket as a frightener. Until we see copies of the paperwork, suitable censored with names, we can't really advise.

Ok...the ticket says this is an official fixed penalty notice requiring you to pay a fine. If you require further information please seek legal advice.

Goes on to say the name of the police force concerned. Undated where it says "On" then at 1609 hrs. Not filled in where it says "In". Gives vehicle reg. Offence code 085 unnecessary obstruction. Car make, model and colour. Signature, number, sub div, the P/W/S marked P.

That's all the ticket says on it. Heard nothing for best part of 15 months since the offer of another 30 days to pay.
  • I still think it smells. Please see post 9 ref pepipoo.

  • Copies will be needed on pepipoo so it might be an idea to put them on here as well.
