Wow that really is good news. I think you'll be really good at it!

I didn't realise that your old company are likely to fold. I no longer shop there - haven't done for about 5 years now. Mind you I do go to their competitor just down the motorway...

Aww thanks :D No one knows, but from my perspective I don't think it will be around long. Even if the place doesn't go I am sure my position will in the next 6-12months. Never been in there but all my customers say they shop there :o

    Well done, PAP!

Do you have a VHS player? (Please don’t laugh, I know it’s old technology!) If so, I have a VHS “Beginners’ guide to BSL” which you could have. (I think there may be a book, too, but would have to check in DH’s study & make sure – if we’ve still got it – that he doesn’t want to keep it.) PM me if you’d like it.

  • Aww thankyou all for your kinds words. Its such a huge leap for me, those of you who have followed me know I have already turned down a job to stay where I am/was. I also put my notice in and retracted it before so actually thinking and planning my last day has been strange but it will happen!

, many thanks for thinking of me but sadly I don't ahve a VHS anymore. I kept it until we moved house in 2010 and then it was freecycled. Thanks anyways, learning sign language is a pipe dream but I am hoping i can get it done before I am 30 :j

Beanie, it so does! Can't believe I waited this long. If I knew that I could get accepted into the care sector just like that as long as I had my car I would have purchased one years ago, debt or no debt. But hindsight is a great thing and I have learns lots about myself in the current job so I don't regret that.

So first training today done for my new job. Its great! Lots to learn but it will be worth the hard work. However it is becoming apparent just how much 'extras' I will need to buy. My new employers will cover most of the stuff but its all the bits, so far I have...

New work shoes (ones I can drive and work in) £10?
New tops for under my uniform (due to medical condition) £12 for 3
    Watch/time device £15?
Folder (for paperwork/time sheets etc) £2?

So as these will need to be purchased just after payday I think I am heading for a NSM which will not be a bad thing. Just ahve to think one off outlays for a better life :T
