"The swelling ranks of sceptical scientists is now the largest whistle-blowing cohort in science ever seen. It includes some of the brightest: 2 with Nobel Prizes in Physics, 4 NASA astronauts, 9000 PhD’s in science, and another 20,000 science graduates to cap it off. A recent Senate Minority Report contained 1000 names of eminent scientists who are skeptical, and the term “professor” pops up over 500 times in that list."

Still, I'm sure Mr Codpiece knows better.0 -
Is it just me or does the OP omit any mention of global warming? It's only those replying that mention it.

Good point, I think the law of unintended consequences applies quite often

It was a story I didn't follow closely but wasn't one of the things that came out of the emails released from Fens University that there had been no increase in global temperatures on average over the past 10 years?
2 things make me slightly skeptical of climate warming:
1. Humans aren't as significant as they think they are either as individuals or en masse.
2. My understanding is that most of the evidence is from computer modeling not from actual data. Economic prediction is done in exactly the same way. Economics is great at describing what happened but lousy at predicting the future.0 -

It's the blind self-c0nfidence that makes me chuckle the most.
As in this from one of the high priests of warmism, back in 2000: "Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past"

So, what changed?0 -
This is just one month; climate is measured over thirty years...“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0
