~Littlekel's new diary for a fab debtbusting 2011~

Hello MSE world
This is my new diary, i felt like i need a new start to give myself a kick up the bottom.
2011 is hopefully going to be a great year for us. We are getting married in May in Cyprus so the first few months of the new year will be dedicated to managing to pay for wedding things we need and paying back anything we have spent on it so far.
I am 26 and OH is 30 (nearly 31
) and we have been together for 9 years in April. We have two beautiful daughters who are 7 and 5.
The thing that will make 2011 great is that we have just moved into my Uncles house. We have decorated it exactly how we want and it is £150 cheaper a month than our last house, but slightly bigger.
The end of 2010 hasn't been very DFW with not budgetting for xmas.
I have completed a revised SOA and upped some things on it to be a bit more comfortable. From that i have created a budget in Excel so the bills are distributed between OH and I so we have about the same 'left over' money.
Other goals for 2011
Lose 1st in the first 3 months
Work on my 101 list http://www.dayzeroproject.com/user/littlekel
Spend more time with the kids
Improve the girls eating habits
Eat more healthily
Sort out the house to be an organised machine!!
:D
Complete my AAT course in June and decide on further studies
Financially in 2011
Pay off and fund the wedding
Start over paying loan
Pay off OH's credit card
Goals for the future
Buy our first house
Be comfortable financially so we can go out for a day out or a meal without worrying about it
Holiday abroad more often
I think all of this is achievable with carrying on the things i have learnt and changed already this year
Budget £40 a month towards birthday and £35 a month for xmas
Sort water meter in new house
Budget for childrens clubs
Meal planning - saves a lot of money
Days out with tesco vouchers
Try and have lots of NSD's
Start ebaying items again that we don't need
Use SC and BM
Batch cook and freeze meals
Spending diary
These are just a few of the things i will be carrying on with
Hopefully everyone will have a great 2011!!

Today has been a good day....a nice lazy one for a change
Decided to complete no 66 on my 101 List - Play Poker online for money! I played a game for £2.40 and came second but the prize was entry to the Big Tournament for £500 but then i went out fairly early in that!! But i can cross it off!!!
It snowed heavily here overnight so DD2's party she was going to has been cancelled and OH's work do has been cancelled tonight
:(:( I was looking forward to a night out. OH and I are going to have a nice meal and some drinks at home tonight instead!
Todays goals - get all cards ready to put in post box, Wrap the last things that i can that we have here. Get washing done and finally finish my 2011 calendar!
My end goal for 2011 is to get married, decide on whether we should have a third child, be prepared for xmas and end the year only owing money on my loan. This will mean we should clear it pretty quickly in 2012.
Off to do some house work xxxxOrange Fairy

Aaaaaah DNMS has just beaten me to it...was about to say I want to be first to say hello and happy new diary:beer::beer:
You sound like you have the new year all planned out perfectly, all looks very sensible to me!!
Boo to snow spoiling your night out, but I'm sure your food and drinks at home will be just as lovely;) We had loads of snow today too, didn't expect it. DD2 was going on a sleepover so I had to take her, slipping and sliding as I came home through the side streets:eek: Not looking forward to getting her tomorrow once it's frozen tonight, argh. Still, a quiet night with my eldest (13), tv and pizza, sounds good:D
Have a good evening:)
