    Evening all,

Nearly Monday again and still everywhere is covered in snow and ice - I am not looking forward to struggling in to work tomorrow morning

    Today:

Cleaned out chickens after OH had shovelled the snow away from tne back door

Made the first lot of mince pies this Christmas :T

    Made soup for work lunches

Made Nigel Slater's lamb shanks for supper yum!

Put up Christmas tree, but not decorated it yet - waiting for OH to find an extension lead for the lights :)

Largely another lazy day skulking in front of the fire again :o.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi all

Just a quick post as not much to report. Spent quite a bit as had about 20 people round on Friday eve ( altho we unintentionally did very well out of it alcohol wise.. People were very generous!) had friends round and got a takeaway and then picked up some bits and bobs today for our trip away. We head for France on Tuesday..getting very excited now at getting a whole 2 weeks away from work..woo hoo!!

OH has made moussaka with veggies lurking in fridge and some mince got today. Looks yummy and even better means no cooking tomorrow! Also started giving out our sloe gin and fudge boxes( most of our friends are getting these HM gifts) and they look very nice if I say so myself. Also started wrapping presents..quite a shock to be doing that before Xmas Eve!

Other than that a quiet day..watched SCD Final with DDs which was nice, no more snow but still very cold and no sign of it disappearing. Bit skaty on the back roads.. But no school for DDs so very nice not to have the mad panic in the morning.

    See you all tomorrow..
