Play.com very slow delivery

I'm in the midlands with hardly any snow. The item that I ordered from Play.com that was despatched on the 13th has arrived but the item that was despatched on the 6th hasn't. Everything else that was ordered at the beginning of December has arrived, even a parcel from Australia (arrived last week, having taken 6 days)! I'm beginning to wonder if Play.com have actually despatched the item and the bad weather is just a convenient excuse.

I ordered from Play.com on the 6th, was despatched on the 7th and arrived on the 14th. Par for the course at this time of year, delivery in a week would be perfectly acceptable. Given that the weather here has been shocking and we got no post at all for the first week of Dec and only 3 deliveries the second I'd have been happy to receive it in a week had we just the bad weather to contend with. Both Christmas and bad snow and a week to deliver = brilliant!!:T

A week would be acceptable at this time of year you are correct, but I've been waiting 13 days and still no parcel from play.com that is not acceptable in my opinion. To make matters worse play will not even enter into a conversation about my missing parcel telling me to get back to them on 28th December when they can make a claim against royal mail for it! Such lovely customer service :mad:.

What would you like them to do? Get the chief exec to drive the parcel to you in his car?

I placed orders for two calendars on the 6th December and they were dispatched on the 6th. Still not received those, but the few bits I ordered afterwards have long since arrived.

I doubt these will be here before Christmas

I know it's not fashionable but can I give some praise to Play? I ordered a couple of games at the end of November which hadn't arrived by the middle of December. I couldn't get any joy out of their "my orders" page because it was still within the 21 days... so I emailed them, telling them that they were Christmas presents and they quickly despatched another item (sadly one was out of stock) without any fuss or bother. And it arrived yesterday so I'm happy.
