rarele - first week is hard! Give yourself some credit for picking yourself up and starting again. You will do better this week - I know it ;)

  • Spent £3.60 on lunch, dinner and a can of coke today. Not bad for a 2 course meal I think!

Can I join in the challenge please?
My car is going in for a service on Wednesday and having a baby dishwasher plumbed in, but not gonna include that cos I can make my own rules and it is budgetted for.... erm... let's say £50 for the week as I have a few beauty appointments and the man in my life is back after 2 weeks away... actually let's say £40 cos he can pay for diner etc etc!

    £40 for me please!

    :heartpuls CG :heartpuls
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • Hi everyone, can I join too please. As its my first week I'll budget £60. £20 of that will go on petrol, which I need for my work. I have been pretty good at taking my own lunch, since I started looking at the DFW threads. x

As the small person will be back at school, I will join in from this week.
I am out for lunch on Wednesday, (already paid for), so just a couple of drinks to buy. £5
I need to top up my pre-payment card for the sports club on Thursday. £10
Then out on Friday for a 60th birthday (OH can pay for that)
On the plus side, I am doing 5 Mystery Shops next week.

So, my budget for the week will be.....£30.

how do you join this challenge thing?!
  • Budget - £35
    Actual spend - £27.55

Proud of myself for keeping well within my budget for my first week, but I think it was too high, although it did include a hair cut. £25 for me this week :) - we have a night out on Saturday, but should mainly be cheap drinks at a WMC and I'm driving, so no alcohol for me, so a tenner should cover it
    Bank loan - [STRIKE]£9949.52 [/STRIKE]/ £8705.83 * Loan from DH - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE]/ £350 * Overdraft - [STRIKE]£0[/STRIKE] £648.47
    Total debt at LBM (09 2006) - £10,549.52 Total debt on 14 Mar 2007 - £9704.30 - 8.1% Paid off
    This week's budget - £20 Spend so far - £32.50
    March's target - keep overdraft below £600 - failed :(

Proud to be dealing with my debts

    hey Moozie!

Was just looking for this thread!

I wasn't too bad, spent £9.25, but went over my weekend budget (£20) by £6:eek:
So for this week I have £2 in my purse (change from weekend included a £2 coin so had to put that in my pot) and it is going to have to last until Thursday night when I go away for a week :j

I have brought a huge vat of hm soup into work to have for lunch today, tomorrow and possibly Wednesday (made from the pumpkin we carved at the weekend- very OS!). So the only expenditure I can envisage is at my evening class on Wednesday, I will not go to the pub, I will not go to the pub.....

And hey! I like being in the dark ages, if i had the internet I would be on here all weekend.................
    Saving for an early retirement!

Thanks for the update Imelda - not bad at all! :T £2 is a good challenging amount and I know you can do it! Just don't go to the pub, don't go to the pub....

As for your other comment, I must get a life, I must get a life.... :rotfl:
