    Hi all,

My OH got a Boots voucher from PB without postage last week and we had to pay 1.23£ to collect it.He emailed PB and has had no response for over a week. Are they taking this long to reply or maybe ignoring him?He dint even ask for 123 pp and at least a sorry would have been nice.Anyone had any postage probs before?sorry for therant, feels good to share it out.

Did you keep the envelope showing the lack of postage and the label showing amount to pay? Take a photocopy and get your OH to send it to Pigsback with a letter by snail mail. Or better still if you can scan it, send the scan as an attachment with yet another email!

Hey guys, just wondered if anyone know of a way of checking where you have placed PP's in the Jackpots?

I could have sworn I had both Strictly Dancing and XFactor winners but no points so far???

The winners for the competitions you have mentioned, are chosen at complete random by the system.
As the computer chooses them at random, there is no bias nor human intervention so every one who enters has the same chance of winning as the next member.
I heard on the radio the other day that one of the MP3 player manufacturers has had to make its 'random' selection less 'random' because people were complaining that it wasn't working properly because it wasn't 'random' enough!

Here it is: More or Less on 20 November! Basically, really random randomness isn't nearly as random as we think it should be ...

Especially as I still haven't won anything on PB ... :rotfl:

Thanks,I hadnt thought of that-I stuck the stamps and posted the label,so when the envelope comes,I will take a photo and ask him to send it by email.PB usually reply promptly to emails, wondering why they are so dodgy.

Just an update on my Hellmans book plus an extra book order - I sent an e-mail to Amazon querying the additional postage charged and received a reply:
Super Saver Delivery must be selected as the delivery preference for your order to qualify.
However, they have kindly refunded me my postage:
However, Amazon.co.uk is committed to providing the best possible customer service and we will honour the promotional discount on this occasion.

Which sort of suggests that they weren't honouring it originally?!

Ciara Lynn and Paddy probably had their Christmas lunch on Friday and are still too hung over to care...........!! :D
  • Stumpy,

I ordered the Hellmans book plus a DVD and it automatically selected First Class postage and then deducted the cost:
    Order number: 202-9822076-xxxxxxxxx
    View your Order Summary online:
    Delivery Method: First Class
Delivery Preference: Group my items into as few deliveries as
    possible

    Subtotal of Items: £17.03
    Postage & Packing: £3.00
    Promotion Applied: -£5.99
    Free Shipping: -£3.00
    Total before VAT: £11.04

    VAT: £1.93
    Total: £12.97
    Gift Certificates: £-12.97
    Total for this order: £0.00

As suggested by a previous poster, I reckon Amazon have now closed the loophole with regard to getting free shipping for additional items and therefore if you order another item with your Hellmans book you must spend in total over £15 (including the Hellmans book) in order to get free postage via Super Saver Delivery.

    Just a theory.....

Edit: Just seen Mich's post above and have deleted the crossword from this post, I was waiting for DH to finish scanning and printing a 400 odd page booklet for one of his courses Grrrr
There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

Try calling them - they can't really ignore him if he is on the phone to them. :)
