No I didnt either and I emailed pigsback about my points and got the email to forward my confirmation so I dont look like I am getting the points either:mad:

If you email PB with the cancellation email, plus your Audible username, you should be OK.

You should definitely have had a cancellation confirmation; did they confirm on the phone that they won't be taking any money off you?

Unusually with Audible, you can still log in and see your account details after cancellation; it just becomes sort of 'dormant'.

I can still log in to my account on audible but there was not one single email sent at all. they did confirm they wouldn't be taking any money and had cancelled my card details.

Nope - still £7.99 for me - no £1 off either - have just mailed CD-WOW to ask why (not had anything from them re the promo no longer running) and have ppinted out that if someone takes advantage of a promotion in good faith then it is unfair not to honour it (yes I know it's only £1 - but its the principle!!)
SO if it is Pigsback that have made the error maybe we should be asking them to credit our accounts with 100 extra points to make up for the £1 missed?

I contacted them 5 times last week because the happy hour wasnt working. So far they havent even bothered to reply.

No, it wasn't to do with hunger ...

Louby, you have two courses of action.

First, you download your books at what has to be a bargain price (DW has had over £36 of download for £14.99 this month) and enjoy your membership until you have had enough or until you fulfil your commitment, depending on what you signed up to.

Or, second, you ring Audible and speak to their delightful CS staff, who will no doubt advise you much more expertly than anyone here can, especially me. For what it's worth, I think you have a good chance of ending your membership immediately, without a refund of your first monthly payment. I think you have less of a chance of having your first payment refunded.

But but's Audible who can offer you advice, not PB and not people here, I suspect.

By the way, you must have (almost) finished signing up, as you must have given them your card details if they have charged you. In which case, you must have agreed to the Ts & Cs.

Don't get me wrong, it's interesting to read of your experiences. Thanks for posting, and good luck with your negotiations.

Have you tried emailing them? You could also try calling them to explain the situation. :)

  • OK thanks both I will ring them first thing in the morning!

(my computer crashed at the last stage and i wasnt sure what to do, thought it hadnt gone thru as i didnt hear anything - is prob my own i fault i think and i will have to accept the mistake and be more careful in future!) and 4 downloads for £14.99 is a good deal if i cant get my money back i suppose.

    Thanks again

Ive just checked my audible emails, and it says i joined in August...Is this the time the pigsback offer started?

Theres no other reason why i'd join that site, but it does seem a bit early.
