mine is 28th which is a bank holiday... new years eve is not a bank holiday, so should be just the same, but saying that it will turn up when it turns up i guess0 -
The payment dates are:
Benefit due on December 27 / December 28: payment on December 24
Benefit due on January 3: payment on December 31
All other dates will be paid as normal0 -

Hello, I am due to get my ESA payment on 28/12/10 but I think that day is classed as a Bank Holiday. Does anyone know when I would actually get paid?
Thank you.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.0 -
I *think* you'll get it on the 24th, but someone else will be able to confirm (or tell me if I'm wrong!).
Hope all is well.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Going by past dealings with the DWP they do tend to pay early in situations like these.
You could always ring up to confirm though, they will be able to tell you exactly when your next payment is due.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
Tax credits due on the 28th are being paid on the 24th so I think all other benefits will be paid in the same way.

You'll get your ESA on the 24th.
Hi, I am due my giro for ESA on the 28th also. Is the 24th the date I should receive it or the date it will be posted?
If it is posted on the 24th it won't arrive until maybe the 29th at the earliest as there are no deliveries on the 25/26/27/28th.
In which case I won't get it and earlier - in time for Christmas!
If is supposed to arrive on the 24th that is OK as the PO is open until 5pm. After that they don't open again until the 29th!
Either way, saying that it will come early is misleading.
I presume also that my wife's 4 weekly OAP giro will be caught up in the same problem.0
