  • Buxtonrabbit - Mine are like that too I've managed to wrap one today but one side is folded different to the other side lol and a bit bulgy too. I can't bite through tape either at the moment because I've got braces :) plus my mum will tell me off for it because you can chip a tooth supposedly.

Themull1 - It must be something only left handed people do my mum is left handed too and she's no good at wrapping presents either!! I can too write backwards and upside down they thought I was mentally !!!!!! when really we must be gifted lol.

Zippy - Next year send me your address and I'll send all these presents to your house for you to wrap for me :D

I've got atleast 15-20 presents to wrap still but I just can't be bothered how bad is that. lol

  • I love wrapping in brown paper and string!!

I usually put a paint-stamp or potato print on the left corner of a green christmas tree shape or a bright red bauble and then write the name on the right corner with a nice caligraphy pen.

The easy bits (books, dvds etc.) I wrap normally but most of my friends and family have a shoe box covered with pretty paper and whatever bits and boobs they'r'e having get put inside unwrapped if they're awkward, some get popped into a gravy tub thats been covered or pringle tube and some I put in a shopping bag I've picked up cheap from the charity shop.......that becomes part of the pressie.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • My sister was very ingenious a few years ago and using a few yards of Christmassy tartan fabric, she machined up some gift bags. Pinking sheared edges at the top to be tied with pretty ribbon. The tags were brown parcel tags with hairy string, with stars and glittery bits glued on. They looked really lovely and she uses them every year. I'm also very fond of those chiffon drawstring bags you can get very cheaply on eBay. Wrap the gift in coloured tissue (£1 a pack in guess where!) and they look like you've spent hours on them :-)

Nah.... you can NEVER have enough bags! Hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and that the contents of your parcels/bags gave and brought as much pleasure as mine.

  • The Orla Kiely at Tesco canvas and jute bags went down a storm, the recipients really loved them and were thrilled that the bags were theirs to keep - I bought one for myself as well. I'm wondering who I can give one to as a birthday gift ....
