Thanks for all the welcomes :)

Had another £2 coin today in change, so that's gone in my piggy bank - £8 so far, but not bad in about 5 days.

    Hi no#116 here.

Got lost on the way as could not find this thread and knew I had joined as have enjoyed[STRIKE]nicking[/STRIKE] collecting the coins from hubby and family. Bless Dh actually refused the £2 coin change from a SA and asked for 2 individual coins as he knew I would confiscate it. I have a grand total of 54 coins:) I have used them in my total of my other challenge as these were also in the sealed pot.

So in Jan will be using them towards a laptop for my DD 10th birthday:j:j

Another one for me - local shop ( Sp*r in next village !) is always good for £2 in your change - I always seem to get one. One more to go to reach the £100 target :). Hope thread or something like it will continue in 2012 'cos I am going to do it again - this time with a bigger target :)

    Hi guys,

Well I've counted up my pot for this year and I have a yearly total of
    £234!

Very pleased with that, and I am going to go to the bank later to put them all back into circulation :D

Callisto - I love those things I have a hippo one that my sis bought me as a pressie once. He is lovely and soft and smells beautiful! Though accidently bought???? You knew you'd love him once he was home with you lol!

Drsqueeze I'm glad you love being on here - so do I :T

Pammyj nice to hear from you, and I'm glad your total is adding up so well. I KNOW you have that will power to wait for the other 5 coins. You too scuba - If its SO close to being filled you might as well wait until you really can't squeeze another in! :A

Hi Rainbows! I'm hoping we are a thread and not a threat lol! I can't believe you read through that many pages! See, it just shows how keen you are. Soon you be like the rest of us and UNABLE to part from those lovely £2 coins :rotfl:

Toriaterrier - all I can say is that what ever you do DON'T give up. Just when you least expect it those pesky £2's that are hiding will pop out of the woodwork and into your lap......or pot......Have confidence you will find your first one very soon :j

Well done on the banking Lemonpopsical, and hr-money you are doing so well already!

Gonnabedebtfree - £6 is fine so don't be apologetic, especially if you have been dipping into it. Having a target will spur you on to try to get close to it (and to think if you really need to dip or not?!), and every little helps as they say - as long as it is of use to you when you need it, then that is all that matters.

L33na - nice to see you too. Hmmmm I think hubby needs a bit more convincing about how good and useful this saving lark is! So when you buy that laptop, you make sure you remind him where the money came from and how much more would be saved with all the family helping!!!!!

Good luck to everyone for the last month of 2011! And as I typed that the sun just came out to shine :T
