Igamogam - there is time yet, you never know when a shiny coin will come your way. Either that or cheat - 2x£1=£2 :rotfl:

Jovi20 that is a brilliant amount and just proves how worthwhile this saving is. And means you have peace of mind that you can spend this money as its not allocated for anything else - always a worry if you need to spend out of your 'normal' bank account.

Callisto - are you saving to buy youself a christmas presssie, or to buy them with for other people? Saving for an ipod is a good achievable goal. (I sound like I'm back at school - "Goals should be SMART - Specific, measurable, acheivable, realistic, timed" _pale_)

Hi if my pennies were pounds, lemon popsical, bublin1, mfou1098, clyndu, popsicat and viv I'm glad there are definately still £2's out there to be found and that soo many of you are finding them!!

Marilynmonroe - Don't worry about having to spend that money. After all it was an essential purchase and if the money hadn't been there you would have had to find it from somewhere. So be happy that you saved it in the first place and had it available to use. DONT GIVE UP!!!! (THAT GOES FOR EVERYONE!) and still count it in your total if you are keeping one as it IS saved money

I'm wondering when, or indeed if, everyone is intending to open and count their money? I'm doing mine sometime before the end of the year to have a 2011 total and will start again in January.

In answer to your question Observer, my coins go in my terramundi pot so unfortunately it won't be getting opened until it's full. It's feeling mighty heavy but I have a feeling it's only 1/2 or 2/3 full

Can I join please? I've already started collecting £2 coins, but would like to join this thread to keep up the momentum. Hadn't seen many recently, until a few days ago, I got given 3 x £2 coins in change in one go. Bit like buses really!
