    Evening everyone

Just dont seem to get chance to post everyday, the hours just fly by.

Found out today that my db gf dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer, quite a shock as he was such a fit man. They are still doing more tests on him in hosp.

os today - erm not much apart from unloading dw, cleaning out woodburner, taking dog out and putting up christmas tree.

Found out today that ds2 has managed to get 1 of the 5 places at the specialist dyslexia unit and that is the school that will be named on his statement:j. Hopefully now he will get the specialist teaching that he needs. At least I can stop worrying now and dont have to battle anymore and the lea will provide transport as it is 30 mins away by car.

Still need to write some more christmas cards. All pressies have now been bought, all for less than £250 which is good. Had some birthday money and managed to get 2 of the £10 cardigans.... DH got me 1 in his lunchtime and I went for the other. I nearly bought 1 yesterday at £35, but decided to wait.

    Lamewolf - Sending ((hugs))
Lowesy - congratulations thats wonderful news
Bitsy - hope you feel better soon.
Molly - Make sure you get some rest.
JackieG - Hope you feel better soon too.
Candygirl - Hope boo soon feels better.
Beemused - Hope you are ok

Enjoy the rest of your evening. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.

  • Evening all,

I typed a post earlier but pressed the wrong button and it all vanished!

Well, the OH is on his way, but with a 35hr commute he'll not be arriving in Heathrow until 10pm tomorrow night. This means that he'll have to stop over there until Saturday morning, then fly to Manchester. All this adds up to £110 I wasn't expecting to spend

I'm still waiting for OH's best friend to arrive for dinner. He was meant to be here at 6.30 but called to say his now ex-girlfriend was threatening to smash his stuff then set fire to it, so he had to go and collect it. He was in bits poor bloke, so he's coming here when he's done; he's had depression before and tends to self-isolate when things get bad and I've helped him with his g/friend situation before, so I want to see him to make sure he's alright.

When I do get my dinner it'll be steak, ale and potato pie with cauliflower and broccoli cheese and peas. Mum and dad were fed earlier as was the dog, so it's just me. I'm enjoying my Sainbury's clementine bucks fozz though! :D

Hope everyone's ok and keeping warm. Hugs to those that need them xx
  • Hi chums ,no snow yet so fingers are being crossed that it stays away for a bit longer.
DGD got a letter from Uni offering her a conditional place for next year and she is jumping with joy.She has had a rough time this year with a grotty boyfriend who broke her heart and college friends that were not too nice to her so she is so chuffed .She said 'At least they want me Granny' bless her
Eldest DD popped down tonight and picked up a couple of big lasagnes that I made for her today.
Then I thought I'd check my padlocked 'shrapnel' tin to see how much was in there and discovered that I have put the key somewhere so safe I can't find it.still never mind it'll turn up I expect
Well I'm off to bed to read my book.Supposed to drop down to about -7 tonight so keep warm everyone
good night God bless all here
    JackieO xx

Molly take it easy and hope you feel better soon

I was going to send hugs to the snotty people, but I don't want to get that close :rotfl: so have a  instead

    Evening everyone

Horrible day at work and tomorrow will be worse, some people are not getting the money they should be getting, just what we didn't want on the last payday before xmas, combination of IT problems and people sending in timesheets late, it is not all my fault, but I will be the one on the end of the phone. Know I will end up in tears.

Sorry for the moan, feel bad as I know others have far worse on their plates at the moment, but am home alone tonight and its getting to me.

DSD had a bad day at her weekend job last week and we made a pact when she got home, new year, new job for both of us. I really can't be doing with all this stress every fortnight.

On a good note, not really any snow here yet so Mr T was able to deliver, he has however, sent some quite strange substitutions, I accepted them as it is things we eat but not what I wanted for the weekend :rotfl:am wondering if they had their xmas dinner before picking my order and maybe a bit too much wine:D

I have had a good evening sorting things and tidying around, as I know I will not sleep much tonight the ironing will be up to date by the morning, I actually find ironing quite soothing, don't like putting it away though!

Have got some chilli out of the freezer for lunch tomorrow, just need to stick a potato in the microwave to go with it.

    cyas tomorrow xx
whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

    Stopped smoking 20:30 28/09/11 :D
