    Morning All

Got all my Christmas veg from the market yesterday and it is all peeled, prepped and frozen so that is a lot less to do on Christmas day.:D

I plan to get my mince pies done and frozen today - Luckily the new freezer is huge and I have more room than I ever had in the old one.

Like redruby I only have to get fresh stuff (salad, eggs, ham and milk) next week :D

I too am dreading the snow - if it snows or is icy I can't risk going out because of my dodgy legs. Oh well plenty to do at home and could actually catch up with my knitting.

Well off to scream more at DS I can't wait until next week when I can get a bit of a lie in.

Dinner tonight is beef stew and dumplings

Keep warm and safe all x

    Morning all

Dark, damp and mild here this morning. Not so sure if we're going to get white stuff here today seems way too warm at the moment.

DH up and off to work at stupid early so no coffee in bed for me. Dinner last night was chicken breasts topped with stuffing then wrapped in bacon, quite simple but it's lovely, we had mash, brussels, carrots, broccolli and gravy also and then HM biscuits/mince pies for those that had room. Tonight's dinner is toad in the hole with pots and veg, reasonably easy dinner as I have a long list of things I really need to get done today as it's the last full day I'm going to get when I'm not working and the boys are at school. Have all the normal jobs to do as well as finishing up the last few xmas bits to get bought/organised.

We have friends coming over for eats and drinks tomorrow night, will be lovely as we do so them but not as often as we'd like and very often just for a quick coffee and a chat, think quite a lot of alcohol will be consumed!!

Need to crack on now, need to limit the pc time today so I can get everything done.

Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

JackieO it's raining here at the moment, and if it snows on Saturday you can come and stay with us. The house elf would be delighted :rotfl::rotfl:

Plans today were to iron all the washed and dried bedding and put it away, but I've been hijacked by a friend. Another friend doesn't have much for Christmas, so we're going to throw some money in each, and go food shopping to make sure her children have plenty for the holidays.

I have my months money at the beginning of the month, so luckily I have been able to get at my own shopping money for the next 2 weeks and do the shopping early. I will not be going anywhere near Asda until well after Christmas now. The forecast here is for snow next week. The house elf told me last week that he thinks that people make up the weather forecast. He's very astue for 6 years old.

Bitsy I hope you get your nap. The elf was up at 3:30am today too. He loved the snowman soup so much that he had to keep one for himself :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning everyone

Another one here who is dreading the return of the white stuff, I still have pain and bruises from my falls in the last lot.

Very wet and windy outside at the moment, so I suppose an umbrella is a no go, great, hood up and flat hair day today.

Have got some soup out of the freezer for my lunch, think it is bacon and lentil. Not sure whats for tea as only me in tonight, probably chilli or bolognaise, depends which one is nearest the top of the freezer.

Have a big delivery from Mr T tonight, lots of stuff for our meal on Sunday. I have ordered 3 different things for pudding, think it's the first year I can remember that I haven't made anything, but I just don't seem to have any energy at the moment and the thought of baking all day Saturday had me in tears.

Best get going, really don't feel like work today, but hey ho, I feel like getting the money :D

    Have a good day xxx

I really need a kick up the @rse with regards xmas, just CBA'd :o, Have sorted cards, kids pressies but seem to have stalled on mums and dads :o. We're having Rib of Beef so will buy it this week to shut DH up. If there was a duvet far enough away i would glady crawl off under it :o. I've tried the "get a grip clare" but this monkey is not shifting :o.

Still onto today was going to go into town with mil but i've cancelled that, my mum wants to come over but would rather she didn't :o.
DD2 carol service tonight at the church then back to the school for mulled wine and mince pies might skip that bit tho. DD1 wants to go to youth club too.

Need to go food shopping but cba'd, dinner tonight sausages and something.

    Morning all !!!

    Hows everyone?
Thanks Bitsy for starting the thread! ((poor you and Dd)
adelight great news with the presentation!

Right now i've got two fuming boys who are devastated because its raining and not snowing. Seems like the rest of Teesside is getting it, all we have is torrential cold rain and hailstones.

We had loads of snow for about two weeks in the North East, i.e lots of snowballs sledging etc

Ah well fingers crossed it happens!

Plans for today, kicked OH to work with pack lunches, lunches are done for the boys.

Plan for rest of the day, make fish cakes, quiches, bread.
Pick snips (ds2) bike up, sort more stuff out for freegle and tidy the entire house up.

Also have to sort material and clay out to fashion up some pressies the boys are making for christmas. Might also make some snowman soup.

Off to tell elfs to get everything ready for school.

    Have a good day all!

    Morning All,

Long time no post!!!! I just wanted to pop in to wish you all a very merry christmas and good tidings for the new year!

I have been extremely busy due to the fact that I'm 17 weeks pregnant!!!! DH and I are now trying to sort out somewhere to live and OS'ing in earnest, plus help out my brother with his eldest daughter who is going through a tough time at the moment. I've just started back at work full time due to being signed off for the first 3 months of this pregnancy so time just seems to be running away with me now.

I hope everyone is well, I will try and post a little more regularly now, but I am suffering from baby brain and often cannot remember my own name!

    Hugs to all xx

  • Morning All,

Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Lowesy!! I am jumping for joy, for you!!!!! I was worried about you, and have missed you. So so so pleased :) That's picked me right up as my face was tripping me with the snow which has arrived here!

Its here, its heavy and it looks very wet, so hopefully that means it will booger off soon fingers crossed please! I also have caught the boys' lurgy and am feeling sorry for myself. Or I was, not any more, Lowesy has brightened my day right up!

Plan for the day is just to get through, I will pop into the chemist on the way back from school and get some more lemsips, and see what the day brings. Will make soup though. I think it will be a low activity day, so I should really see to the wrapping of what I have in already.

    Hugs spoons and hi5's

    morning all

feeling a little more human today. cough seems to be easing although still struggling to take a deep breathe without getting a sharp pain :o back at the drs this evening so would like any rubbish weather til hold off til i've been!

managed to wrap most of the christmas presents last night. still need to get more but just cant face the crowds so alan will have to do it.

alan made a never ending pot of soup yesterday so that will do me and ds for lunch today. alan is meeting a client from work for a christmas lunch so he wont want feeding today.

need to have a bit of a tidy. the plan for the weekend os too have a huge declutter and be a bit ruthless with ds' toys in preparation for christmas. anything broken goes in the bin and anything not played with goes in the loft.

ds is in a very loving mood today. getting lots of random cuddles. keeps taking me by the hand and taking me places :rotfl: not really sure what for mind :rotfl:

hope everyone who's had the lurgy is on the mend and jac take it easy! last thing you need is to be ill over christmas
