Does your thread title say
Ill never use Royal mail again?
Ok, I'm a glutton for punishment.
The whole title is because this time a year ago, there was threads/posts from people saying they would never use royal mail again.
In these difficult times, when the companies these people turned to are failing, RM is succeeding.
So the title is to bring them in, expecting someone slating RM but finding praise instead.
I had absolutely no way of predicting a village had lost it's idiot and I would be the unlucky poster that caught him.0 -

With roughly 500 packages via RM in the past year, only 1 has gone AWOL.
This was to Italy (a black hole for mail apparently), I have no doubt it got there eventually, but the lady was moving back to the UK and possibly missed it.
It's good to see the CEO takes time out to deal with customers problems. Another plus in my book.

Maybe if we had an "Irony" smilie it would have helped.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I got the title of the thread thing. I agree they've actually been great, it seems they've stepped up to get the Christmas post out as quickly as they can.0

It will be OK for the big cities but I cannot see a lot of rural areas getting post daily - probably ending up with centralised collection depots where you have to go occasionally to see if you have any collections....I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0

We're out in the sticks and our postie was actually early yesterday.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Lovely attitude. And calling people dicks over the Internet? Well played. Hope your e-penis grew by a few inches as you typed that. :Tgeordieracer wrote: »Oh you think so?
go look at threads about anything else - especially UGG boots.. They dont care what has been posted they read the title and put the fact they were stupid enough to buy dirt cheap boots in the first thing they post.
Paying no attention to anything else apart from the title.
Now if the OP wanted to slag the couriers off then they should say so..
Stop confusing people and say what you mean from the off. if not . get off.0 -
I decided against using Special Delivery and sent a small packet to Wales First class last Thursday. It was signed for the next day at 10:45 am, less than 24 hours after posting! The local 2nd class packet however took 5 days.0

We've got a problem with our front door at the moment (it doesn't unlock from the inside) meaning I have to leg it round the back door, up the side of the house and unbolt the gate if someone knocks at the door. Postie knocked yesterday with a package - I frantically started legging it around (takes me a good minute or so to find keys, unlock back door and run round the side of the house), assuming since it was RM I'd get the postcard through the door in 30 seconds routine - postie had spotted the telly on so assumed someone was in and just late getting to the door and was quite happily stood there watching the weather forecast through the window! Better than their old knock/card/scarper in 10 seconds manouver they used to do.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Just to add, i'm not looking to slag off the couriers either. I was just giving examples of how RM are delivering whilst other companies are not.
I use DHL for most things over 6kg and have always been more than happy with the service I have had. (22kg UK to Hungary in 54 hours for £30, RM couldnt do that!)
TNT was a first, it wont stop me using them again.0
