Morning all

Well i took a test this morn.....& it's negative....not only that I've just got my P....5 days late.

Must be down to coming off the pill I guess. Oh well would have been a lovely Christmas present, but wasn't meant to be...this time!

sorry for the disappointment - been there - done that! it will happen though - flipping annoying when AF is late!

I know I'm normally sooo regular altho I know I've been in the pill but even before that I could guess to the day when my next would be due argh!!!

Actually I'm not as surprised I kept telling myself I wasn't pg....really doesn't help when P is late!!!

Oh doesn't know yet...

Sorry to hear it's negative. It can be hard each month playing the waiting game. I think that's half the trouble these days, testing can be done so early. I remember it took 3 months to fall pg with my first and that felt like forever which in the grand scheme of things is nothing

Sorry to hear that Cara. You'll get there, as I said before, try not to obsess too much about it though. Both mine have happened when I resigned myself to the fact it wasn't going to.

OP came off pill in September, she said in her first post.

Cara - so sorry you didn't get the result you wanted. Your body can take a while to adjust though after coming off the pill. Good luck for next month!

thanks, 4anna, did not realise cara was the OP! Sept is quite soon.
I came off in July and think/thought my cycle had stabilised. 5 days late and still waiting for BFP or AF...sigh....

I came off Microgynon in May, had the withdrawal bleed when I took the last packet and then a normal period at the end of June and another, 4 weeks ish later at the end of July. Since then, I haven't had a period. I am not pregnant as I have been doing tests every 3-4 weeks to make sure, and we are not TTC at the moment. I went to the doc when I had gone 3 months without a period and he was not concerned and said it can take the body a while to get in sync after taking the pill - and I was only on it for 2.5 years - no time at all considering some people take it for decades!!

I think the point I'm trying to make is do not get too worried or, conversely, excited, the body obviously takes a long time to adjust to coming off the pill even though early on it can seem to have snapped back into rhythm.

Sorry to hear it's negative it took my just over 3mths after stopping the pill to concieve my daughter but everbody's different. Hopefully it will happen for you soon, good luck op
