Am I pregnant?

Hi everyone
I've been a long time lurker and thought I'd like to ask you your opinions.
I know in my heart what I should do - take a test. But I'm worried it will be negative. We are trying for a baby although have only been doing so for the past few months.
I came off the pill in September and from the date of that first period it took exactly 4 weeks to my next period. The one after that, I was really rather ill and actually thought I was pregnant, sore boobs, being sick, tired all the time, etc etc. Alas it was not meant to be. i had my period 3 weeks 5 days after the first day of my last period.
Well I am now exactly 4 weeks and a day over since my first day of my last period and I have no inclination or feeling that my period is coming. Neither do I feel pregnant.
I really am trying not to get my hopes up and I know technically I could take a test now, I'm scared too as we want this so much. I'm going to try and leave it as long as possible - not wanting to tempt fate.
In fact I'd love to do a test on xmas day and if positive, wrap it up for my hubby - what an xmas day that would be!!
See, I'm getting carried away again and it could still be that my body is adjusting itself coming off the pill 3/4 months ago!
I don't really know what I'm asking but I can't really talk to (or don't want to talk to) anyone about it.

You could take a test and then if it's positive take a photo and wrap that up for Xmas day. If it is remotely possible to not tell him before then. (I wouldn't last that long, even if I really, really wanted to).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Please do a test!! Got me in suspense now!
If it's positive, plonk it in Christams cracker and get him to pull it with you.
Good luck! :A:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -

Take a test first thing in the morning. What a fantastic Christmas present that would be! Try not to stress over it too much, you haven't been trying for long. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you0

I found out I was pregnant on Christmas Eve last year after fertility injections.
Found out at 6am, Hubby found out at 6.01am. No way could I wait!!!!Give me the boy until he's seven and i'll give you the man.0 -

You're going to find out one way or another sooner or later so do it in morning pleeeease!
As Van said, you've not been trying too long so don't be too downhearted if it's negative, took me over a year this time and with DD (not helping am I?).
Anyway, once again, good luck, I hope to see tomorrow you've done the deed!:)
