HTC Wildfire - hate it!!!!

I have a HTC Wildfire on contract with 3, I've only had the phone for a couple of months and signed up for a 24 month contract, I like the deal I'm on but I really cant tell you how much I hate this phone:( its the touch screen I particularly dislike, I want my buttons back! There is technically nothing wrong with the phone but its very hit and miss with syncing stuff and I must be very heavy handed because I can never get things right on the stupid thing even a simple text is a chore and as for going online, I've given up:( its my own fault I know but does anyone have a suggestion (apart from going out and buying the blackberry I really wanted) of what I could do? Suggestions welcome:)
Thank you for this site Martin

You can try switching keyboard
Settings->Language & Layout -> Touch Input ->Keyboard Layout0 -
Sell it, buy the BB, change tariff....easy

Available for £105 on PAYG on "3".
This has physical buttons in a bit of a blackberry style and will have "3" network specific software.
Then sell the HTC Wildfire (after a complete factory reset to remove any personal data) and even with the phone still network locked to "3" I think you will get your money back.0 -

How can I do that when I'm stuck on contract for another 2 years? Anyway I'm happy with the deal I've got its just this phone, I had the E71 which is now dead and its a much better phoneYou can try switching keyboard

Thank done that, still hate it:(I'm just too heavy handed.Available for £105 on PAYG on "3".
I probably will do something like this in the end I was just trying to be a bit more :money:and see if anyone had any brighter ideas then me.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions:) More are welcome.Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
If you went with a blackberry you'd need to add BIS to your plan. I don't know what 3 charge for this, but I doubt it would be free.
My wife and I have had 3 different E63's between us and they are a great little phone for the money. Compared to the E71 it's got a lower spec camera and no HSDPA or GPS, but it does have a regular headphone jack and a better keyboard layout. It's also a little chunkier so feels nicer in the hand too, IMO. The fact the E63 is still selling almost 2 years after it came out is proof that it's a quality phone.
You should be able to sell the Wildfire for at least the cost of a PAYG E63 on 3 so it seems like the best option.0 -
Try the "Swype" application. Once you get used to it, you'll never use a non-Android phone again

Thanks - this could be a possiblilty until I get something else at least, I had a look at a demo and its interesting but when I go into the market on my phone I cant seem to find the app - any suggestions?Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
Swype is in closed beta so it's not available on the market AFAIK. I'm sure Google knows where to find it...0

I've just had an E63 for the last 18 months and I'll agree - cracking little phone. Mine's also survived being dropped down the stairs, falling onto the laminate floor at the gym several times and assorted other abuse. Just signed up to upgrade to a Blackberry but I'll miss my lil Nokia - it's done me corkingly well.
Funnily I turned down the Wildfire in favour of the Blackberry just today. I'm not a touchscreen fan.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
