I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the advent vega - I have had mine since early dec so around 3 months now and with every new firmware release it gets quicker, more responsive and more functional.

check out the modaco forums for more info than you can shake a stick at on the vega.

either that or wait for 6 months would be my suggestion - there are a lot of tablets coming out this year but not many price points have been confirmed.

My big sis needs a tablet so she can have her DS video's etc on it when he is waiting for hospital appointments etc.

Anyone got a good one for £100-£150 mark? Does not need anything fancy just something that can play divx/avi files and maybe play simple games

Well, you are right - when it comes to weight Archos is better because it's 480g when Vega is 700g... Maybe I'll take another look at the Archos.
