    Evening all:j:j
Well thank my little toes that i dont have to go in for 6:00am tomorrow:T:T Iv made up the 5 hours that i needed too. BY working from 6:00am-4:00pm the last 3 days and it worn me out:(
So im in at my normal 7:30am tomorrow and working untill 4:30pm and then thats it untill monday:T:T The next wednesday we bresk up from work for christmas. I can not belive that it been two years since i finished work for christmas knowing that when i went back in the January i would be loseing my job after being there for 11 years. Time goes so fast. Iv allso been back there nearly 12 months. again time pasts you by. I started back by jsut doing a few days when they wonted me and then i had a 3 month contract and then a six month contract and i have this week been given another 6 month contract so all good there. It would be better to have a full contract as when you have a temp contract for only a few months its very hard if you need to get loans and stuff like that. But im lucky as at the moment im not in need of one and i very much hope that it stays that way.:)

We are haveing a tesco take away curry for dinner tonight:j:j
The twins have had homemade beef burgers veg and homemad spud weges.

Tomorrow night its my wifes works christmas meal. I hope she remembers what i orded as i dont ahve a clue. Thats the trouble with my brain now it dose not always remeber things that it should.

I hear that a large part of the country is going to be very cold from tomorrow and a lot of areas are going to be getting snow again. So lookafter yourselfs and your loved ones and dont forget to look in on anyone that you may know that might need some help or just a chat as they might not be getting out due to the wether, even a phone call might mean so much more to someone than you could ever dream of. I know many on here do this and remind others to do so aswell. But we all think yes ill give so and so a ring or ill knock on next door to see how they are but with our busy lives we often dont get round to it lol.

    Have a great evening all
    enjoy:j:j

    Sorry for the long post:rotfl::rotfl:

  • I forgot to share my nice news, we won a prize in the school Christmas raffle :D Its a3 free photo sessions at a local Pixiefoto studio over an 18 month period, with a free print from each visit. No doubt they will try and sell us some more, but that's OK. We'll do one of the boys, then get one of the boys and gran together next year before she moves away, and do the last one next Christmas probably. We had been talking about getting some posed pictures of the boys sorted out (probably DIY as we're skint) as the ones we have are four years old, and they look so different now. :)

    Afternoon all
DD had her scan, the news doesn't seem to be too bad, I can't remember what they think is wrong, something to do with the kidneys, but it's supposed to only happen to boy babies & she is having a girl, go figure. Anyway, baby definitely has one working kidney, DD is back for a scan on 4th Jan to check again. DD is very upbeat as one working kidney is better than none.
I walked to work & back today as my car is having problems, still I'm so relieved about the baby I don't care about the car, lol.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Glad it's good news Hester :T:T Are you sure they have the sex right? Girl babies do sometimes turn out to be boy babies ;)

Jackieg - Well done to you my lovely. Keep it up my girl and you'll be well on your way for January 22nd ;) Well done on your raffle win :D

tappers - sorry to hear about DS1. Not much to say other than I hope he gets himself sorted asap xx

Don't think I am going to tap. DD asked to go to bed at 4.30pm (this is unheard of ) and is currently still asleep. Sooooo she'll either be up all evening (which means H can't get DS off to sleep) or she'll be up all night. If it's got to be one or the other then I vote for the evening stint!
Wrote my Xmas cards and actually managed to get some wrapping done too :T

    evening everyone

Well not a lot of OS here, woke up late this morning and OH met me from work and we went to cheapy pub for tea :D, did sort out last nights washing though before work

Hester 1 working kidney is good, DS was 7 before we found out he only had 1 kidney, locum dr decided he didn't like little boys having water infection and ordered further tests, thank you mr locum dr! Makes you think, they count their fingers and toes when they are born, no one thinks to count the kidneys....have to say, since that infection, DS has never had a days problem....it was good when he was a young teenager and all his mates were drinking, I told him he couldn't cos of only having 1 kidney....sad to say it didn't last long :rotfl:and then he turned into a proper teenager

Hugs for anyone who needs them, or just wants one special one for Taplady, hope your folks sort themselves and enjoy having your DS back home again. JackieG well done on the shopping, I went out at lunchtime, only get half hour, went to 2 shops, was out for 50 mins oooops, not my fault, market day, they all come down from the hills and clog up all the shops :D:rotfl:

  • Hi Chums,
just back from DGS's play It was a musical nativity with a modern theme and the year 6 kids were terrific.had a lovely evening ,but I'm glad to be indoors as its very wet out and very cold ,so I'm off to have an early night and have a read of my latest Ken Follet book. Its huge, and called 'Fall of Giants' so it should keep me busy for most of the holiday.
Hope everyone is cosy and warm its not the weather to be chilly. My old mum ,god rest her used to say 'its a bad night for sailors ' She had a deep compassion for anyone who spent their life at sea for some reason. If we didn't eat what was on our plate during rationing she would admonish us kids by saying
'Men died to get that food to this country by boat ,eat it and be grateful' bless her.
well I'm off to my warm bed and will think of anyone sleeping out tonight as the rain chucks it down.
good night god bless all here
    JackieO xx
