  • Morning All!

I'm off work today - with a chest infection. Went to the docs on monday night, picked up tablets on the way to work on tuesday. Managed work until lunchtime, then i felt myself gasping for breath so came home.

Back aches today and coughing a bit more than before, so hopefully the penicillin is kicking in.

Only real problem is I have barely any food in my house, due to Tesco's messing my order around and now i can't really get to the shops due to being poorly! I should have enough for today and tomorrow, hoping to be back at work Friday.

Good morning, everyone. Very cold here again, and snow is in the air, I think. Still, the sun is shining and the sky is bright blue, so it's not all bad. I had to pop out early because I had an appointment to get my hair trimmed. I almost wished I hadn't arranged it for so early in the morning but, now that I'm back in the warm, I'm glad I did! I still have to go out later to do some food shopping, just in case we get snowed in.

No further news about my BIL - I shall phone my sister later.

LouLou and Alipops - I hope you both feel better soon.

Redruby - I hope your central heating is sorted out soon; the forecast is dreadful and you will definitely need it.

Hester - hope all is well with DD's scan.

Bitsy - loved the video! There are some lovely animals on there.

Well, I have some online work to do, so I'd better get on with that in a moment. DH is grouting the kitchen tiles then, at last, I can put everything back where it belongs. Next job will be laminating the dining room end of the room. I shall be SO glad when it's finished. I don't feel as if I have had a proper kitchen for years!

I hope you all have a good day.

    Morning everyone,

Hope everyone that's ill starts to feel better soon. I think I have a cold coming so dosing up, this time last year I had swine flu so at least I'm not that bad! :p

Really not much going on at work at all, think everyone has shut down for Christmas already. I have 5 working days left, finish next Tuesday until the 4th January so as you can imagine I'm looking forward to that! Feel like I need a break! :D

Will be doing my grocery shopping on my way home from work this evening, hopefully I won't need to go again until the new year after tonight.

Need to wrap the last of the presents tonight, once that's done I think I'm ready for Christmas :eek::eek: Never been this organised before! Although I'll quite likely find something I need to buy or do next week!

Well, best get off and find something to do (or another thread to browse! :D), have a great day everyone.

I've just heard from my sister and now the doctors have decided not to give my BIL the second stent. They've said it's too risky, so my sister is trying to find out more. It's come as a real blow to them; he needs it to get his bilirubin levels down so that they can start the chemo.

    Hello All,

I've been MIA recently, been working too much!! I'm supposed to do 5 hrs a day but have been doing all the OT i can get :) looking forward to pay day! Working 2:30 - 10:30/11ish tonight

Haven't started Christmas shopping yet... Friday is the day. Luckily only 5 people and 5 little people to buy for. Budget is £10 each for the big ones and £5 each for the little ones. Going to decide today and tomorrow what to get and my action plan then blitz town before work on Friday.

We also haven't got a tree!! OH refuses to bring one home, so am going to give up hope of getting one this year...

Now, i want to make truffles for my in laws...big question, can i freeze them?

I got a massive shoulder of pork in waitrose today, they have 30% off the price per kilo, then it was reduced on top of that!! Sunday lunch is sorted.

Hugs to all who need them.

Sorry to hear that Kathy :(

Been shopping, put it all away, DD is still poorly. No temps but is now suffering with a nasty cold. Will be well in time for Christmas? DS has no appetite and went to school with no breakfast  Fed up of all the germs now.
Need to crack on and write some Xmas cards otherwise it's going to be too late to post them :o
