Benefit fraud ?

Just looking for some answers. My cousin has said she is currently under investigation for benefit fraud. I'm not sure if it's true as she has a habit of lying about just about anything. The only person she has told in the family is my Grandmother and I think she taking advantage of her.
My cousin says she's been caught working 16 hours per week, when she was claiming IS support. So this was stopped due to Fraud, She's also saying as her IS has been stopped, so has her CTC for her 18 month old daughter. I found out yesterday she's been taking A LOT money off my Gran since OCT saying she has no money for food, gas, electric, nappies ect ect. She's saying all her benefits has been stopped except from her Child benefit, she stopped working as soon as they caught her, so she's saying she has absolutely nothing coming in now except the CB.
She lives on her own with her daughter and I'm finding it very hard to believe that she would not get anything ??? Also would her housing benefit not be affected with the fraudulent claims being stopped ?

It doesn't affect me at all. However my Gran has no money to support her self, I only found out when I last visited her and she had no electric ! She has a heart of gold and doesn't want the baby to go cold or hungry, so she's giving my cousin just about all her cash every week and is being left with nothing. And I've got a feeling that my cousin is just taking of advantage of my gran.0

i suppose in a way yes she has been commiting fraud as she hasnt declaired a 16hr+ job. her tax credits shouldt be affected as in stopped just re adjusted to see whether she owes them money tax credits is not dependable on whether you get a benefit. how long has this been going on for, has she been interviewed? offer help by taking her into JCP and hopfully get it all done and dusted so she can get her money,
ahh october. it should have been cleared by now so yeh i'd say she's extracting money on the basis of family hardship with your gran0 -

She stopped working as soon as she was found out, so has no wages. She's saying that her CTC was stopped at same time as her as her Income support as she never told tax credits she was working either. I have told my gran not to give her anything, but knowing her she will still keep giving it to her. Really annoyed at the fact my grans being left with nothing to look after her self with.0
