Problems with MyCityDeal/Groupon

Hello
I've been having problems with some deals I've purchased through MyCityDeal/Groupon and it seems rather impossible to get hold of them.
I've been trying to email them a few times but no reply and I've been calling their customer number which seems to regularly go to an automated message in the end.
One of the two deal I've been having problems with is for an offer expiring next week which requires a booking, the company of the deal doesn't reply to my emails and their contact phone seem not existent.
The other deal is for a restaurant which I found out is now closed for good.
Any suggestion on what I should do would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, sorry I can't give you any advice but I'm having problems with a couple of the deals I've bought to. I bought a meal for 2 at the Verandah in Edinburgh which was valid 7 days a week. They sent an email a week or so after saying the deal wasn't available on Saturdays which was frustrating since I'm only really in Edinburgh at the weekends. I've tried 3 times since to book, the most recent being last week I called to book a table for New Year's Eve. I asked if they had tables available and when they said yes I booked one for 6.30. After they confirmed that there was one available the man on the phone asked as an after explained about my groupon and he asked me to wait a moment. He came back on the line and said sorry there was no table available. I was raging but he hung up before I could say anything.
So far I've had no response from Groupon nor the contact us bit on the Verandah's website.0 -
Hi, just to share my similar problem where we bought two Groupon restaurant vouchers for London, only to find the restauarant is "closed for refurbishment" and the phone number on the voucher is dead. On the restaurant's website (which does not mention that they are closed!) there is a different pnone number which goes through to another restaurant, who confirm it is currently closed and make it clear it is very unlikely to reopen under the previous owners. The Groupon phone support line (which is no longer a free 0800 number....) keeps me hanging on for a couple minutes, and then cuts me off saying they are too busy at the moment, try again later. The Groupon email support address is currently sending a message saying email is "unable to contact the DNS servers"!! Can anyone advise on what I can do next?0

Hi,
I recently brough the teeth whitening kit (£19.99 instead of £99) and still have not received it. I had an email over a week ago saying it would be 5 days and still no sign of it. I also brought a magazine subscription where I've had one (slightly dodgy) looking email from them saying I'll receive a confirmation letter but that was a while ago and still nothing!
Im hoping its something to do with last weeks snow has made the deliveries a little late, as from the sound of others experience, I'll have trouble reaching anyone to speak to about it!
Thats frustrating about the restaurants - I don't think I'll be buying any meal deals after reading the other posts...0 -

I think that's the same of one of the two deals I was having problems with. Was it for a Restaurant in West End? I finally managed to speak to an operator at Groupon after experiencing exactly the same frustration with their now not free anymore contact number. I had to call 4 times. The woman on the phone said that she was going to refund me the money for the restaurant and that she would have forward my contacts to the other compnay for them to write me, but guess... I have received not email or else yet.
Very frustrating!0 -

Sens Beauty Package Scam
Well, I have just received my Groupon vouchers for the "£39 instead of £160 Sens Beauty Package" at the Hilton Hotel and it is truly a miracle that they are performing up there before our eyes!!
For the five treatments (including a "pearl facial, foot massage, indian head massage and body exfoliation and hot stone massage"),that are described in this offer (which would take at least 4 hours minimum to complete properly) – they are carrying out in (what I have now found out since parting with my money) 1 hour and 15 mins - it is truly amazing or maybe just a rip-off! As £39 is all it WOULD be worth.
They have obviously over-advertised in the most audacious manner and are providing what can only be described as an extremely superficial and reduced service. I wonder if they sing "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" when you get in there, as that is all there would be time for! ;-)Coupons Rock! :j0
