    Hi,

Mind if I join the challenge a few days late? I am looking for a challenge that gets me out of debt and into the black asap.

Welcome polka purpura, of course you can join in! There's no deadline here. :) Do you have a target you want to aim for? I'll pop you down for 'as much as I can' and I can change it if you want to set a specific figure.

    Good luck with the debtbusting!

Just checking - all of you have tried to get 0% balance transfers right? Makes the payments go much quicker. I seem to have four on the go at the moment, which means everything I pay is going towards the capital, not interest.

I haven't been able to get 0% deals due to the amount of debt I have. However, due to my reorganisation, some of my debt was not showing on my credit report so I have just applied and been accepted for two 0% cards. I won't believe it til I have them and the balances are transferred, but if it does come off, the majority of my cc debt will now be at 0% for 12 months, so that will give me a boost. :j

£10.58 min payment paid today on a 0% card.

Going slowly at the moment but hoping to reach the £550 mark by the end of the month which will should be about 8% of my annual target this year.

Will get overtime paid next month and hopefully a bonus at some point which will help to pay a larger chunk off.

    Hi jwil,

Debt is small but frustrating and stressful at £2,300 target is £4,600 which should put me in the black by the same amount.

Although small if it goes tits up I am in real big trouble.

It is a bit ambitious given present circumstances but I need a target and will aim for the end of 2011.

    Thanks.
